Icon4s:Quote me, Arsenal is not interested in Morata. Morata will either remain with Juve, return to Madrid or move to Chelsea. If Arsenal buys a striker, it will be Icardi or Sturridge or Janssen or Benzema. |

Icon4s:Don't be surprised if Welbeck misses the whole of 2016/2017 season. Remember Walcott was to miss just three months and many thought he could return for the last world cup? The useless Pius Ikedia Mark II missed nine months. Arsenal's medics are rubbish. Fact. |

TheGoodJoe:Rob Holding and not Derik was Bolton's player of the year in the just concluded season. Also note that we simply can't afford to trial out all the players. Not just possible. We have weeks not years left to the Olympics. Let's be realistic. |

TheGoodJoe:This is wrong thinking bro. By omitting Kelechi, he is able to give someone else a chance to impress. He already knows Kelechi and as a pro, bedding in with others won't be a problem. All he needed is playing time which he got in the friendly. |
| Re: All The News About The Olympic Eagles (U-23) HERE! by amagunnerfan: 6:57am On Jun 02, 2016 |
terzurum5:When Arsenal bought Nasri, he needed six months to bed in, when they bought Ozil he bedded in straight. Only lost form when Wenger chose to help his defensive side by playing him on the wing. Silva hit the ground running at City, Willian needed close to a year at Chelsea. What this tells you is experience of a player in the game and how long they have been around and who they have played with influence how they bend him with other new players. This could be why Kelechi hasn't been invited. He is seen as a professional who should have little time to understand the coaches' game plan once he joins the team. It actually makes more sense letting Kelechi continue training with Silva, Yaya, Aguero and co than playing friendlies with the dream team. |

Mickael2:Costa is not better than Neymar. Never. Douglas Costa is a very good player but not on the same level with Neymar. Inter had no choice but to sell Kovaic. They had FFP law's hammer hanging on their head and had the opportunity of good money from Madrid. They never wanted to sell him because of Yaya. I am a blogger, I remember vividly writing on the transfer back then. |

TheGoodJoe:Mikel should not go to the Olympics. I do not see what you guys see in him. Those useless, aimless, pointless Alex Song type of long balls? He going to the Olympics will only ruin us. We need someone either very creative or someone who will sit deep and do the defensive midfield job. Mikel doesn't learn. He plays those annoying long balls that end up not getting to the target. I would rather Onazi over Mikel. |

TheGoodJoe:I will be surprised if Nacho isn't the replacement for Silva under Pep. I don't see Silva staying in the team for long under Pep. |

amagunnerfan: They are very few players who can strike the ball with his left feet like Nacho. I see Silva having two seasons in him. Silva has an understudy in Manchester City already. Manu Garcia who played against Chelsea in the FA Cup. De Bruyne is also decent behind the attackers in the midfield role. Nacho will play as a wing forward/Support striker from the right. That is the switch I see or he plays as a false 9 when Aguero is not fit or needs a rest. |

amagunnerfan: You said we need someone who can sit deep and defend. There is no one in the Super Eagles who does that better than Mikel. Mikel is our most disciplined defensive midfielder who plays strictly to instructions. I am more interested in Mikel playing a defensive midfielder role to shield the defence because Coach Siasia's team leaks goals. |

amagunnerfan: We need our Olympics team gelling. That is what this tourney is about. This is not about if Nacho or Iwobi will fit in fast but finding the weaknesses of our team when they play together. The reason for this Suwon Tournament is for the team to gel because there is little time to the Olympics. |
| Re: All The News About The Olympic Eagles (U-23) HERE! by TheGoodJoe(m): 9:16am On Jun 02, 2016*. Modified: 9:57am On Jun 02, 2016 |
amagunnerfan: Why give someone a chance to impress? The person can not have the kind of season Nacho and Success had. That seems like what Coach Siasia wants to do. Someone becomes the tourneys highest goal scorer and boom. That is his pick. Why not hold a camp and let me see how Oduduwa would perform better in camp than the likes of Otigba, Osede and Awaziem? Let me see who will perform better in midfield than Iwobi or strike better than Success and Nacho. From the camp select the best. For the tourney to pin point tactical witnesses and blend the team. This is a huge opportunity wasted. |

Dream Team Starting XI vs South Korea: Daniel, Seth, Obanor, Saturday, Amuzie, Usman, Saviour, Azubuike, Dimgba, Ekpai, Awoniyi I hope Siasia gets beaten well in this tournament. It might force him to reassess. |
| Re: All The News About The Olympic Eagles (U-23) HERE! by TheGoodJoe(m): 9:48am On Jun 02, 2016 |
amagunnerfan: Where did I say Derik Osede was Bolton's best player? I never said that. Derik was among their best players and he was third best player. For a defender, that was impressive. We have weeks to the Olympics. Is Coach Siasia telling us he can not screen out his final contenders for the team in one week? He camped for this Suwon tournament. Why not invite more players and select the best for the tournament? There is no excuse why the likes of Iwobi and Nacho were not in the camp for the tourney. Now Oduduwa injured and Coach Siasia will not add a replacement. Ridiculous. |

tbaba1234: You can imagine the line up for an Olympic preparation tournament. He is lucky he did not go to the Toulon tournament with this kind of squad. He would have been beaten black and blue. This tournament is not tough so he might scale through deceiving people that he is working. <<<In Plane to find Coach Siasia with the Plank in my hand>>> |
| Re: All The News About The Olympic Eagles (U-23) HERE! by TheGoodJoe(m): 9:55am On Jun 02, 2016 |
amagunnerfan: We have weeks, not years. So why is Coach Siasia not working with the key players for the final preparation? It seems Coach Siasia does not know he should be rounding up preparation for the competition. Maybe he has and this is his Olympic team. Awoniyi should not be playing ahead of even Blessing Eleke. |
| Re: All The News About The Olympic Eagles (U-23) HERE! by Mickael2(m): 11:09am On Jun 02, 2016 |
amagunnerfan:thank God you highlighted the fact that I said that he is a very good WINGER, he is at thesame level with Neymar when it comes to playing ON THE WINGS. Now let's look at it using the basic skills of a winger; Crossing: Have you seen Neymar crossing the ball before? I can assure you that he well not so good at it. But there is a reason why Lewandowski scored most of his goals from crosses, because Costa's crosses are always direct to the target and are wicked and vicious crosses, so Costa wins this one hands down. Scoring ability: There is where Neymar's diversity counts in his favour. There is no argument here, he scores more than Costa, but have you seen the simple chances that Neymar has already missed? In every Barca match, Neymar misses atleast 2 clear cut chances, just that Barca keeps on creating chances so he scores a lot more. Pace: Costa no doubt. Neymar is fast but he is not even faster than Carvajal. Costa would outrun Alba who is the faster player in Barca so that one isn't a contest and while playing as a winger that's what is required. Dribbling ability: Well maybe just Neymar but Costa is no pushover here either. He can beat his man whenever he wants. Now when you start talking about other stuffs like technicality, positioning and other stuffs, yeah probably Neymar will be better than him there, but when it comes to the skills you need to play as a TRUE WINGER, I'm sorry but Costa is better there |
| Re: All The News About The Olympic Eagles (U-23) HERE! by Mickael2(m): 11:19am On Jun 02, 2016 |
TheGoodJoe:I honestly doubt that. In fact, I wouldn't be suprised if Nacho is no longer a starter there. He either learns how to play as a lone striker in 4-3-3 or he will be dropped. Pep works with one true winger and one inverted winger, just like he was using Pedro at Barca then and let's be honest Pedro isn't the best, so also he will use Jesus Navas as that true winger. Who he will play in the david villaesque role still remains hidden, he may purchase someone to play there or he can just shift Aguero off(I swear I don't know why people rate that guy so high, guy is crap when it matters) but Iheanacho? No. He does not have that blistering pace and his one on one dribbling skills aren't so great. So his best bet is that Pep will play a forward line of Aguero-Nacho-Navas(Navas is a sure bet I can assure you) with Nacho as the false 9 nothing else to it. And Silva will play, Debruyne will hardly suit Pep's tactics. This is a position where Iniesta and Thiago played for him, now the semblance there is that both of them can move out wide and play as false wingers with good dribbling ability when the inverted winger moves into the box and well, Debruyne tried to play as a side midfielder against Madrid and he failed there, he used to play there for Wolfsburg but the requirements back then were not so tough compared to now, and Nacho...I doubt if he can play as a midfielder again. Gundogan will certainly be a starter the primary issue now is who their DMF will be because Fernando and Fernandinho? Bros make we leave that one till tomorrow |
