For 40yrs We Had Northern Leaders, Yet More Poverty In The North, Why? by TippyTop(op):
This is a counter thread to the one on the frontpage.
The more people try to destroy Jonathan's name the more his support grows. After 6yrs of governing Nigeria, some people who are not Niger Deltans expected Jonathan to turn Niger Delta to Dubai, hence my question. What did Northern leaders achieve for their region after 40yrs of ruling?

This is Buhari's second stint as president, what did Buhari do for Katsina?
I'd like someone to list his achievements, I'd also like to know Obasanjo's achievement in Ogun state after serving for 8yrs..

Lalasticlala, Mynd44
I think people from Katsina and Ogun would like to know too?

Good Point from you OP, ask yourself this question, is there anytime Yoruba/Hause crying of being marginalized? You will never hear them shouting marginalization rather they will go back to their score board and restrategize while some people will continuing flooding the web with below image.

ok
Are you saying they failed their people?

Obasanjo was president for 8yrs, he ignored the Lagos Ibadan Road until a Niger Deltan president repaired it.

Am not going to spoon feed you, do your own research. Nigeria has been an independent nation for 56yrs, apart from Obasanjo and Jonathan how many Southerners have ruled Nigeria?
(ignore Sonekan's 3months stint)

I'd also like to know what Obasanjo achieved after 8yrs in power. Tell me what he did for Ogun state.

Politician are birds of the same feather but the manner at which you people start idolizing GEJ arose many questions. Meanwhile, OBJ outshine your hero anyday anytime.

How can Yorubas/Hausas cry of marginalisation when they contribute very little to Nigeria.
90% of our foreign earnings come from the Niger Delta, the environmental impact is there for all to see. You can't feed the nation for decades and not protest for more to be done in your region.

The presidents from the North ensured that the North had good road networks better than most places in Nigeria
