Someone reliable who know someone more reliable just said that about 70 peeps got the medical invite out of about 400. Some people would be waitlisted (if there's a word like that). No time frame was mentioned.

It's a terrible feeling similar to being on the Japanese Death Row. Your date and time are not stated. U just wake up and ur cell mate has been whisked away, after 5mins the light bulb flickers for some seconds.

Honestly I feel the pains of those who have not been contacted yet. Just a few minutes after @artmedia posted he had got his male, I kept refreshing my inbox and I was quick to feel sad and disappointed. I thought "how could they just contact a few and treat me as if I don't exist?" after a few minutes, I saw my male. What I am trying to say is we have come a long way and our patience have really worn out. So it is very easy to feel dejected at this point. But holding back your males can only mean there is a need for you, otherwise it isn't hard to dish out "reject" males. At the end of this loooong wait, I believe we will all sing songs of praises. I can't wait to rejoice with you here when more success males trickle in.

Well, the simple question I ask myself is that if I was successful why didn't I get an email like other successful applicants? The answer is simple, it is because I was not successful. Rationalizing why one has not gotten a success mail yet is tempting, very tempting. But the fact is, if you did not get a success mail, then you were not successful.
Thanks for your empathy though@naastyme

So if I am to take your comment to heart, that will mean that they are sending both success mails and regret mails in batches.
I really cannot find any logical reason as to why they would do that in batches...honestly can't. Am sure it is not something they are still trying to figure out...they would have had the list of who would be taken and who won't for a long time now.
I guess it is just their usual practice put people on a long thing and turn their hope to "hoooooope".

So nw dat we have pple dat have gotten success and regret mail, wat is d "logical" excuse for dose left? D only thing dat makes sense is if itz in batches esp cz dis is a hospital thingy.. From my experience thus far with nlng, dey never split mails, Regret and success come about the same time.. This was d same way pple refused to believe dat regrets mail went out as well wen d "in d running" mail went out.. Anywaiz, weWait cz dats d only option left to do

Congrats to the guys that have received SUCCESS Mails. The rest of us still await ours.

However, could it be that only the Engineers/SCIENTIST have been "RAPTURED" yet. PLEASE confirm if you are a NON-ENGINEER/SCIENTIST and you have received success mail.

Cheers!!

I am an Accountant and I got the mail too. Not only Engineers/Scientists were 'RAPTURED"........ I know like 3 other Accountants/Economists who got mails.

I think real fact is that;...
If you have not received any male, It could be either successful or not...

In my little experience people are always kept on waiting list at this crucial stage. "Not everyone passes medicals", though not many fail also.
Some can as well reject the offer for whatever reason known to them. These are some reasons why some might have to wait.

The truth is that the number of people that passed is more than the available slots.

Not receiving any mail yet mean more than just to say you are not successful.

#CheerUp! Its not over till you receive "not successful" male.

Your assertion about the regret mails doesn't sound convincing. I choose to believe that if regret mails were sent yesterday, we would have known for certain by now. Every fibre of my being wants to buy into your theory but I just have to be objective. This is not saying that you are not right though.

Lemme come in here.
I don't think anyone got a regret mail yesterday. Anyone who claims to have received such most likely got it since January and has been coy about it. I may be wrong though.
The rest of us waiting to hear from NLNG will probably receive feedback today. The question is will we be getting the axe or we will be asked to wait a little longer. Faced with those options I am sure waiting doesn't look so bad to some people anymore.
Best of luck guys.
And congrats to those who got mails yesterday. Cheers.

Spot On! This is very well said and what I gather is happening. I know someone that got the reject mail. Thing is that it is expected that some people will not accept the offer for some reason or the other and they will then call more. So all hope is not totally lost for those with Unwavering Faith - Ahsleeee.

Pls keep praying!

Interesting!

He said he knows someone that got...not 'some'. Anyways from the number of people still expecting feedback it means that a tonne of people are still in limbo. If the basis of them still picking people is hinged on refused offers...that na even longer thing. Because am sure most will accept it. Possibly not more than five(am being generous with this number) will refuse.
Except am wrong on the basis of them calling more.

I know I have been an interesting figure on this thread. I have been very critical of many actions & inactions. I thought I was going to be filled with vile at this juncture but interestingly I am not. The decision to delay thusfar pushed me to reinvent myself and whilst waiting for the final mail from NLNG, I got offered a post-MBA role at one of the top 3 management consulting firms in the world. I will be turning down the NLNG offer, but please the ones who get in; develop some empathy and make sure the kinds of thinking that caused us pain is not done under your watch.
I truly love the company NLNG and it would have been a pleasure working with many of you guys. My path is chosen, all the best guys.

Dway4ward already says he's rejecting, so you're down to 4. I personally know 3 people who have 6-10 years experience, are currently in managerial roles and have some international experience who got the email. I know for a fact that 2 of the 3 will reject the offer. So people will reject, trust me! Just pray for favour

If it's really true that some have gotten regret mails(but it still baffles me why no one said he got a regret mail here or are they not on NL?), it therefore implies that the mail they sent yesterday were success and reject mails. So I think deliberations are going on now as to what to do with the rest of us. Let's just pray and hope that we shall smile in the end. Those that got the success mail were given 7 days to indicate their interest, so those of us left may not hear from them until the 7 days expire or until after the madicals, so as to know who and who to replace. I strongly believe in Jah's undeserved on me.

Congrats Dway4ward!!! I'm sure you will have a rewarding career with them because I know the company and I've worked with one of the big four. Make the most of the opportunity and do us proud.

On the contrary @Delgado47, they OWE you “something”.
That’s what I was trying to tell us a while back.
To be honest, NLNG should not put anyone through further wait, suspense or anxiety.

We all have suffered a lot.

P.S. hope we have checked our mail spam. Cos that's where my paddy's own was hiding.

Not sure what u r trying to insinuate.
However, as they say “a problem known is half solved”.
Therefore KNOWING the mix of people currently viewing this thread, I know and understand why some might see my request as being insensitive and others won’t. That’s why I appealed.
