You cannot diagnose it so quickly.
Does the blood come with diarrhoea, that maybe sometimes has mucus?

Has he undergone colonoscopy/sigmoidoscopy?

Has he been tested for anaemia/blood test? Perhaps looking pale/tired on examination?

Is he using NSAIDs (Aspirin/Ibuprofen, etc)coincidentally when they occur?
Is anybody else in his family affected?

He needs to do a proper medical work-up to diagnose.

Otherwise the causes of flare-ups (episodes of symptoms if indeed ulcerative colitis) can be missed, therefore not knowing to avoid them. Even something as simple as stress as a cause.

It might just be piles but he should see a gastro-enterologist (digestive tract physician).

I've had similar problem before, but not as long as your cousin o. Since its bright red, then its from the more outer part of the intestine. If your cousin doesn't experience any pain (like was in my case) then its most likely an anal fissure. Its caused by a tear along the rim of the anal opening. As with all wounds, the tear would try to heal, but healing at this part of the body is difficult due to constant movement at that area. Whenever your cousin goes to toilet, that anal opening expands causing the healing edges to break again and the resultant bright red blood oozes out. Most may not feel any discomfort when this tear happens, and the only sign is the bright red blood in stool.
Treatment?: If your cousin can rest his anus for long enough, there'll be enough time for healing to occur

For some 4 years now my cousin 33yrs old has been having Bright red blood dropping in the toilet when he stool. It does not happen all the time but it does happen once in a while. Sometimes 2 days and then it may stop for months and then resurface.
Doctors can't diagnose the cause after many checks so they said it's an internal hemorrhoid. According to 2 doctors it's not cancer.
Is there any alternative treatment for this?

Best soluction is to get original, I repeat Original
Antibiotics
Phenoxymethylpenicillin
Potassium tablet (250mg)

If this did not work, there must be some thing ease .please see your Gp

He should drink a glass of whole milk before going to bed and first thing in the morning before going to the toilet. He should do a stool test to check micro organisms and bacteria parasites. Does he have anal itching?

bro this disease is a seriouse one doctor will tell u that you need to undergo an operation to remove it. i tell u is 50/50 life or dead. the anus will continue to big and big untill he or she can't ware cloth again with time . it is a tereble disease. there is no medical remedy to it if it becomes big. but don't panic i have a solution to it, contact me i will be of great help
