that's a comet moth
there normally have a wingspan of 5.5 x 10'.

Where did you catch it? Was it in the morning or afternoon? What sort of flowers/plants did you see it around?

I've never caught a butterfly so pretty. The ones I got had glittery green wings. Then one with some sparkly blue stuff. I'm going to try and take pics when next I get something nice.

You mean found in serria lone?...wow he was tired when I saw it...it must have been travling for a while..

I'm glad you love...I loved it too...its kinda special..the class was close to the woods..

Beautiful Butterfly, I have seen them during my secondary school days.. For the first time in NL we have a thread on insect/ animal/ repitile without people shouting peppersoup things..
