No More Signature Options On Nairaland

I noticed the signature option was no more in effect right from yesterday's afternoon, it was no more on display around 3pm or so, infact it was after i commented on someone's siggy, that i found out it was no more displayed, i thought i was just an error, which would be rectified later, but to my surprise its still out of effect and no longer on display.

Is this a temporary or permanent decision by the management, or a technical error ?

The signature option is a way of expressing ones self and personal quotes, or to pass out any personal info, yes i know some Nairalanders had taken the oppotunity to advertise their goods and services they render but, i still think it shouldn't be taken down just because of that, some other users find it as an avenue to express theirselves here on Nairaland and also pass out useful information to friends, taking it away would make the forum less fun, a bit,, 'sigh... Now i'll have to post all my personal quotes in my diary alone, which is even unaccessable to most users on the forum'.

I think the management of the forum should look inward on how to stop those who use the features for advertising purpose, if thats the reason why it was pulled down.

Nairaland is evolving, but some of the decisions taken is making the site lose some of the main reason why its different or that makes it different from other site.

If we are lossing the Signature option, what next would be taken from us, the PM feature ?

Oh, thanks bro, i just learnt its not a general thing, probably it was a ban or something like Berlyn had mentioned, i guess it should had been a complian thread, Lol and not a suggestion thread.

Modified: Thanks bro, more sense to ya brain, had to follow your advice to check myself and i got it rectified, my siggy was pulled down, thats why i could not see others siggy, didn't know that was what happened coz i wasn't the one who did it, hopping to know what caused it, though.

Modified: its no ban, someone or something took down my siggy, i still blame anti-spam bot for that, or who/what would had done that, mtcheeeew almost driving me mad and it was ErnieS's siggy ^ ^ ^ i commented on before the whole thing went down.
