It is not exactly the same, somebody said as long as we adjudged a performer of miracles to be less concerned of repentance and the lifestyle of the receiver of the miracles. Of what use, is the wonders being performed, the person went ahead to form an opinion that those are not the ingredients of the doctrines of Christ and serves no purpose other than to entertain.
In response to this, our dear Pastor Agbaje threw up a defence which was more like as much as the Person, says Jesus is Lord and calls the name Jesus it must have God's approval. He went further to state that "the fact that someone doesn't do the way we do shouldn't make them false." That I disagree with, pointing out that an occultic man with all his working tools calling the name of Jesus has not practiced his performance of the miracles the way we know. And therefore must be disregarded.
It is not the same with the men the disciples of Jesus accosted, which was simply copyright infringement.
Then again, somebody can be churning out questionable doctrines that may logically make sense to the hearers but does not fall in line with the rigid stand of the Bible in regards to holiness/godliness and still say Jesus is Lord. Does that mean the Holy Ghost is in action for both? This I said no to, because God does not contradict himself we were asked to disregard any other message even if it comes apparently from Angels or Heavens but does not conform to the Apostolic standards handed down to us.

Agbaje will have me believe that the confessions of the name Jesus and the call of Jesus is Lord suffices.

But thats in rare cases. I don't even support ministrying to a sinner . My principle is Salvation first then other benefit follow . What of those who are already saved ?

Here's a twist . The OP certainly knows that people would be interested in knowing the prophet after his really compelling/convincing story . It may be a scam and of course very credulous people would fall prey .

Do you live in this world at all? Or all you see and know is about your church and its parishes? i'm talking about the majority. Most of the places and peoples running up and down for miracles and signs, and most of the places where these so called signs are done like calling numbers and amount of money in your pocket. they do not tell them anything significant about Jesus.

May God save us.. That was how I was invited to a church last Friday for vigil. ..someone invited my aunty and I decided to go with her. During the service, the prophet said who is destiny, God is about to deliver you. I went out and he mentioned my house address, the route I followed to his church, what has been bothering my mind. He said some people don't want me to succeed and started praying. He asked me to see him the next day after service. My mum followed me the next day and a visitor prophet was there. The visitor prophet said my mum has been suffering of diabetes for so many years and it was caused by somebody. My said said yes she has diabetes.. The man said he saw me enter keke and the guys in the keke drove somewhere and raped me and he really wants to help us. I know I enter keke to work. He said I should get him 30,000 naira that he wants to use it for something to help us right away.. Later he asked me how much I have in my account, I lied that I have 50,000 he said I should bring 40,000 not 30,000 again and if I can't bring it he won't help my mum and I.. The next thing, the other prophet who is the owner of the church just knelt down and said oh God pls convert these pple to my church.. .i over heard him although he prayer it silently.. I just smiled and told them I don't have that kind of money to give, the prophet said I should go and use my atm or go home and bring it bcus they want to help me.. I said nobody is at home and I don't have.. That was how I left with my mum..

They use the spirit of divination, it is an evil spirit. It never brings one to God or brings glory to God. It can make money for its masters as seen in Acts 16. Stay with the Word of God, not with signs and wonders.
Mat 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

I came to church confused and full of anxiety over certain issues and all i get is a prophet quoting my phone number and telling me my mother's name, how does that help me.

He drives the latest cars in town and could afford the services of Mobile Policemen, DSS and some thugs. Initially, I was captivated by the Pastor's performance on stage like most people would, but soon enough I realized it was pure Business. Whether the power for those shows comes from God or from a Pseudo Holy Spirit is a story for another day.

The woman at the well already knew she was cohabiting with a man .Why did jesus need to tell her what she already knew.

lasty the idea is not about phone numbers. the idea is revealing secrets so that the person will believe its not a guess work. it could have been telling you about your past , childhood, something that only you know about. for example if a prophet had said to a woman . 'God says apologise to your husband. USEFUL information, like a coming danger, or deceit or an action by the person, or a sickness and dire situation. It is usually followed by solution and often leads to salvation and holy living. And glory to God, i have seen and witnessed it before, not dem say.
There is also the Gift of Discernment which is one of the gifts of the Spirit, i wish you had it. It is very important because you would see these rubbish/scam with ease, almost unexplainable.
