The headline is somewhat misleading, a review of conditions of service was agreed which will lead to more efficiency which means staffs who couldn't meet up the new conditions must leave for fresh blood in d system and people are taking it to be mass sacking. Rather unfortunate

One of the major faults of this 'regime' is that it does not have a harmonised position on policy/administrative issues and as such regularly contradicts itself. on the other hand, The reasons given for the proposed downsizing appear to be routine administrative issues that should ordinarily not raise any eyebrows, but the number of people affected indicates that there is more to it than meets the eye.

Bro you seem not to understand the message, so many of this people have attain their retirement age but dem no want retire, some don dey the same position for over 10yrs and they no wan move on, some have fail promotion exam more than 5times and still in service. How will fresh people will be be able to gain employment when those that suppose to retire no wan retire.

Dis ppl will never cease to amaze us. D same FG dat's being chastising and threatening banks for laying off staffs planning on downsizing their own workforce... One step forward, 11 steps backwards ppl.

just hope the downsizing will cut equally across all regions and will not only be targeted at a particular region known as (5%).

I hope this gives room for fresh blood to be absorbed.

Actually this isn't a plan, it's been set in motion already. As far back as March, The Prisons have been retrenching workers. I have a friend who works as a warden, she was lucky to save her job. Sen Ngige, where are you?

go back and read it again, this time slowly even if you haven't passed jamb you should be able to comprehend.some people have served for over 35years and are not ready to retire,some have stroke for example but don't want to retire some have failed exams more than three times. some people may just be 3years in the service but have triple promotions because they know oga at the top,with downsizing that will be corrected while those whose promotions have been deliberately halted will also be rectified,etc learn to read and understand before following half literates comment blindly on social media

Good but with conditions they must be paid two years salaries and immediate employment of new staff. Please it must cut across all military and paramilitaries.

Award for d most sensible comment of d day goes to you. U threaten license forfeiture to banks, a private sector organization whose activities amongst other things must be profit driven, but here we are the same govt DAT should have provided a fall back platform to her citizenry in case of such eventuality threatening not just sack but mass sack in a pensionable/career jobs. Hypocrisy and APC are perfect synonyms.
