Urs shld be 5w20

Drive into a mobil filling station and buy either Mobil 5w20 or 5w30. Thank me later

Try Mobil XHP. If the same thing ( oil shortage ) happens then your engine needs attention. That's what you should address first.

Car is 2002. Probably has high mileage. OP says its consuming oil over short distances. He needs to identify why he is losing oil before he considers thinner oils. Would you advice he goes with N12,000 - N15,000 Mobil 1 5w-20 as against N4,000 Mobil XHP while he is eliminating ?

Even if you use N4000 mobil xhp. It definately won't stay up to three months or 5000 miles before your next service. But i asure you, if he buys a total quartz 9000 or mobil 1 5w20 or 5w30 the oil would last 3months or first 5000 miles before his service date
There are many bad engine oil's in the market, that's why the op is having this problem

@OP if your car is a 2.0L then according to Honda your oil should be 5w-30. If it is a 2.3L or 3.0L then it is 5w-20.

You have stated engine loses oil over short trips but does not smoke. Maybe you have a clogged PCV valve, worn seals, etc. The mechanics would know better.

Going straight to 5w-20 / 5w-30 which are lighter in weight than the AZ oil can result in exactly the same thing and then you start to blame the oil.

There is nothing wrong with 5w-20. I use it myself. But if I were losing oil I would establish why before I then switch to the recommended oil for my car after taking into consideration the present mileage of the said vehicle.
