These people are not fighting at all for the development of Niger Delta. The same people that are saying fg is not developing Niger Delta are the people kidnapping the workers of the company constructing their roads. |

Sometimes u dont know what death is because no one had died in ur family, he who wears the shoe knows where it hurts. Even PMB knows now after taking over, imaging u having so much food in ur house but not allowed eat to ur fill, instead ur mother feeds everyone out side with that same food simply because they don't have enough or don't have at all. That guesture is a way of showing luv though what if those u feed don't value ur efforts in their life, instead talk bad against u or even hate u. This is what is happening in Nigeria today. The the first day I entered Abuja I did not believe my eyes, I screamed in the Bus without even knowing, I thought I was in another country or watching movie compare to where I came from that looks like trash. This issue of marginalization is a fact the Niger Delta has been taking care of this country without proper compensation or development. The little industries and companies there before no longer works. The youth are jobless n hungry. Just take a stroll into these so called oil company offices try to count the number of youth from Niger Delta they employed u will cry for them if u really have a heart in ur chest. Am not in support of violence but that's the only way u can get the attention of our so called leaders, try peace u will either be shot dead or given a deaf ear. Go to the Niger Delta n see for yourself my brothers , the waters and land are polluted etc. I even read someone saying let them drink their oil n we eat our yam, shame on him, do u know how many yam just 10k barrel of oil will buy in exchanged? Let's not be bias please. The truth is bitter, Niger Delta have been taking care of these country without complain let's talk to them for Real peace to Rain. God bless Nigeria. Wish PMB quick recovery. |

Niger Delta regions has suffered a lot of set back in terms of infrastructural development and implementation of better livings. I think the blames need to be accrued to insincerity of govt at federal level, selfishness of warlords and ruled politicians in the region. Having said that, I'm appealing to Avengers to plz seize fire and seek for peaceful dialogue with this govt and come up with demands that will not break this noble country. Avengers should not forget that it is easier for lame man to declare war, but the young and able will fight and die. Let maintain peace! |

Jexyme:U have spoken well and very well indeed. I wish these folks will think deeply n realise what they're doing is more of self destruction than vendetta. I asked @Niger Delta Avengers on twitter if d likes of asari or tompolo have done anything worthy of note to d region. They claimed to be fighting for d region n its people but then their pockets and personal accounts keep taking d amoeba shape yet d people and region remain impoverished. Ain't it funny that Asari had to build his university in Benin republic yet he's crying foul that his region is underdeveloped. |

lordizak:I have for long tried not to comment on any issue on the ND Avengers because I'm torn between two worlds but, using a dictionary, and one dictionary definition of terrorism to call the NDA terrorists is not right. The UN knows of the existence of dictionaries yet, have not come up with a definition for terrorism. If na lie ask Google. |

ppnye:I am a graduate of Criminology & Security Studies. U are talking from the fact that the definition does not suit your stance. If U refer to the security of a people, The definition above should satisfy that. No specialist term have a generally agreed definition. Scholars at different times, give different definition. Thanks. |

speedyGonzales:When the government calls the agitators to the negotiating table there are always two options available either you accept stipends and shut the fawk up or you go to jail for cropped up charges... So I don't think the Avengers trust this government to match words with action. |

TBankxx:I hope you're aware that the Niger Delta states recieve similar or more allocations than Lagos state. Without including the 13% derivation and NDDC allocations. What are they doing with the money they recieve ? I drove around Lagos today and positive developments are on going around. Some of the biggest projects in Nigeria and west Africa are on in Lagos State right now. Why isn't the Niger Delta doing the same with similar allocations? The Niger Delta problems are within. |

While I'm sympathetic to the Niger Delta cause, but I'll like to inform them we will be moving away from oil pretty soon. The world will abandon oil as a fuel source when my technology released. With 100 liters of water per month anybody will be able to power basic home appliances. I'm very sure oil will become useless in Nigeria in the next 5 years. No Nigerian would ever again have to queue up or sleep at petrol station, if all they need is electricity to power simple things as radios, fan, refridgerator, radio, TV, charge phone. Oil have enslaved and is still enslaving many in the world. It's time to end this oil curse. |

I think NDA's mind is made up and they don't mind the consequences of their action. I don't think they would listen to anybody or be calmed with pipeline surveillance contract money because of the realization of the possibility of a sovereign state which would give them the opportunity to manage their resources, hence more money at their disposal, and rebuild their region. I can imagine their thinking that if senators, governors, ministers, etc are being paid millions of naira every month and are even stealing huge amount of money which was gotten mainly from the sales of crude oil from the Niger delta while the region is being degraded and neglected, why can't they fight for their sovereignty and get these money themselves. However, I don't support their action because I know they might not even do any of their demands if they break away and this would even throw the region into chaos due to the selfish nature of man as different groups would fight for dominance but they don't know that and even if they knew, they don't care as long as the get their part of this national cake. And for the records, I'm not a Niger deltan. |

lordizak:But NDA is not frightening people in the area to achieve a political goal. It is Nigeria Army that terrorize the people in the area. From the definition of terrorism, it's Nigeria government that is frightening people in the Niger delta area to achieve a political goal of sustaining the political status quo, or even increase the stranglehold on the people of the Niger delta. NDA have not hurt Niger delta people. So, between NDA and the Janjaweeeed sections of Nigeria Armed forces operating in the Niger delta area, who is the terrorist here? |
