Like Vizkiz mentioned already, take Anger management classes. That should help.

But one really simple thing to always do is this.. Think before you act. Don't give in to your reflexes. Always remind yourself of the consequence of any action you're about to take and how it would affect you and the people around you.

Finally, always remember that's nothing is ever worth the anger. You don't stand to gain a thing.

I used to be like you.. easily angered. But now I simply don't give a fvck.

If my GF offends me the 1st, 2nd and 3rd time, I warn her but she keeps doing it.. She doesn't hear from me or see me for weeks.. When we talk again, if we do, she never does it again.

For people like you @ Op is best if you make use of counting numbers when you are angry.
It works like this, start from 1 and count to 100 by the time you get to 100 you must be exhausted and it would slow you down a bit and prevent the hurtful words you would have said.
