God has a plan for everyone (destiny) but your actions (as you exercise your power of choice determines if that destiny would be fulfilled, remember God is not and cannot in anyway be responsible for your choices and decisions) therefore if you choose to honour God by OBEYING HIS COMMANDMENTS then it shall be well with you but if not you are on your own. i used to hear people say dis always. when something happened you see people say its GOD, that God knows about it. they say he already knows and has programmed everything that will happen to humans. if this is true then it means if I sin now he already knows I will. it means he already knows I will create this topic today. it also means am not @ fault for any sin I commit because he has already programmed my activities and know I will sin.
I asked my boss who happens to be a pastor dis question and his reply didn't answer my question. so nairalanders I want your views on this. is it true GOD has known everything that will happen to us

Only those who have chosen to open their hearts and minds to the truth will believe all tht some peeps are saying, from following this thread, I can tell tht the OP isn't really interested in searching for better understanding to his view on the subject matter, he has already concluded in his heart ND created the thread to play down any other contrary opinion... It's a simple matter, tht common sense would help u answer, now, when ever u want to do smtyn, let say u want to tke a piece of meat from mummies pot, without mummies knowledge, wouldn't ur mind begin to ask u questions??, of course certainly it would.... Ur mind might tell u that what am doing isn't right ND mummy would b angry with me o, ur mind at d same time would tell u, take it, even if mummy is angry nothing would happen to u.... My point is you cannot blame God for choosing the wrong choice, neither can u blame the devil, the one to blame is you and you and nobody else. Now, having established this fact, it doesn't mean tht God isn't omnipresent, or doesn't know the future, he knows d future buh wah ever happens in our future has been placed n our hands...... What you sow is WAh u reap, how u lay ur bed thts how we lie on it.... Logically, what you wrote is rather ambiguous and exaggerated. How will you say knowing something will happen doesn't mean something else can't happen? Instead, if the knowledge you have about something has prerequisites, it means what you knew initially was mere hypothesis. Our God is prefect and knows everything, like someone said on this thread, God is life, God is love, He knows everyone's actions before we act, and if you claim we have freewill and God knows our actions before time, how is that freewill? It rather means we were destined to make such actions. Look at the story of Judas iscariot, his actions were inevitable.

Believe what you want to believe, all I know is life's ideology is equivocal. Logically, without sentiments, without religious bigotry, everyone knows the difference between good and bad, the most important thing is spending one's life being a good person.

@bolded, is that what the Bible says? People have made many misconceptions on many issues without comprehending things. I've not read the Bible from cover page to back page, but so far I've not seen any scripture that implies people are predestined to go to heaven or hell.

Logically, God knowing what we are going to do does not mean that we can't do something else. It means that God simply knows what we have chosen to do ahead of time, out of our own free will. I can keep a bowl of ice cream and a vegetable on the floor, and I definitely know which one my 5 yr old nephew would pick, but that doesn't stop him from being able to make a different choice. I know what he's going to do, doesn't mean he's not able to do something else...I just know that he will do it.

When Adam and Eve sinned, man was sold to the devil and destined for destruction so everything a man does will surely lead to his destruction. Since then, man have been trying to avoid this destruction and having been trying to reconcile with God. Anyone that is reconciled with God, God begins to order their step and guides them, but God will still mot force them into doing his will.
Read Genesis 6:3. Before then, God was the one finding a way to reconcile man to him, but after that verse, God backed out and it became man searching for God

Let me explain for you what that means.

God knows what will happen, yes! But he gave us free will so he won't influence any of our decision but knows if you will change or not, it is your own will power we are like gods, we are not controlled, that's why we have our own mind and conscience, we make our own decisions. Understand?

The fact remains;There is no God. Humans are not that special to think a supposed "intelligent designer" has planned your life. That is never the case. Everything we do is governed by what excites us and our animal instinct. It is all about making a choice and see where it leads us.
