the mistake i made was not taking note of the policemen names. The dpo was not helpful at all, telling me that it was not his boys. I told him to call all those that where on patrol that friday night but instead he threatened to lock me up. I sat outside the station through out yesterday and today but no result. I went to the area commands office but was denied entry........ An ASP who heard about my case came to me this evening and told me that the dpo was just trying to cover up the case. He said this kind of things has been happening for long but he could not stop it because all the senior officers are in support of it. He told me to just take heart and leave everything to God. He gave me a fairly used nokia torchlight phone and 2k for transport and to retrieve the line in the phone. I just came back tired. The NIGERIAN POLICE are THIEVES except few ones.

some people dont just have common sense on this forum..... If i committed an offence like some of you think..... Is it my phone that will be seized or me arrested...... This is clear stealing by the police. They will forever be cursed because it is my sweat they took. I laboured to buy that phone.

take heart @OP, thats one of the reason many hate the Nigeria Police, the present BH menace is as a result of their excesses......its so painful, tell me, if OP have the means to deal with them, wont he go ahead?

If we can have over one million youths on this forum I believe we have a voice, strong one at that. Please let anyone who can help in anyway help this helpless guy. How could they seized his phone without any offence and he was given a torchlight phone and 2k as compensation? This is really ridiculous and if possible let make sure Police headquarters hear about this and even the Senates.

I feel sorry for this young man, the rate at which police been targetting young men in warri and environ recently is alarming. They extort the innocent and are scared to go after criminals. They mount road block and just wait for any well dressed young guy to oppress.

Encounter this people again at airport road in warri, stopped me and my brother and asked for phone, when my bro replied them that why should they be asking for phone instead of our papers as in car credentials, they just asked us to go away as they were taking two boys away on handcuffed they pulled out of a keke for no reason at all. the activities of these policemen should be checked.
