That is what Ogbeni Rauf will have to offer his people...giving them conflict in place of peace. Getting children engage in conflict instead of learning.

I actually don't like aregbesola but this hijab thing doest have anything to do with him directly. it was a court order. All Christians has to do is to appeal the judgment. those clerics went to far. if u want your daughters to wear hijab pls take then to surajudeen ausarudeen Muslim college etc not a christian named schools.

While interpreting the law, there is something called 'express judgement' and 'implied judgement'. If Muslims were given rights to wear their religious apparel to school expressly by court, this impliedly means that Christians and other religions too can because they have their own rights too.

So, Christians do not need any appellation in this case in that what is good for goose is also good for the gander or what right did muslim students have that students from other religions do not have?

Get it right please.

Sadly, this isn't new. Its been like this for a while now. I believe resolving this issue will have to involve a lot. Religion is a very potent thing, in the minds of Nigerians.

How's the Ramadan going?

It's very obvious in this case that CAN is just trying to shoot a scene where there's no camera.

It is simply because there is a standard uniform which all students, irrespective of religion should wear. So what victory are you talking about. Muslims are known to create trouble in peaceful environment. Uniforms should be the same. No variation.

If you want to be sincere to yourself, why did Rauf cancelled the uniform of each school? Was it not to ensure uniformity devoid of religion segregation? If so, why introducing hijab again?

For your information, hijab was banned in Turkey, a country where muslims were 90% and nothing happened so far till date. Equity is equality: muslim cannot be behaving as if other religions are inferior to their religion.

Anti Balakas are muslims
Orange volunteers are muslims

Even CAN is a Muslim body, coz they are the ones creating trouble in this case.

It is better you educate yourself on the genesis of the matter before you comment.
It was Aregbesola's govt that originally introduced the idea. The Christians then opposed it, and the Muslims went to an Osun State court to obtain a verdict.
If that fanatic and clueless governor had not introduced it, the muslims would not have the guts to go to court because they know the useless governor was already interested in the idea.
Only a useless and stupid governor will want to impose Islamic rites on schools founded by Christians!
I will not be surprised if it turns our that that useless Aregbesola is a member of Boko Haram, Alqaeda, Al-Shabab, Taliban or ISIS!

The difference between osun and Lagos is that in osun there is a court ruling upholding the new set of uniform. The governor deserves commendation for upholding the rule of law. However, lawless people hiding under the cover of religion are instigating some students to breach the law. What right have these trouble makers to say some students should not wear the uniform approved by the authorities? If anybody want approval for a particular design of uniform, they should submit it for consideration. But they cannot intimidate others hiding under the cover of religion - nobody has monopoly over violence.

Exactly nobody has monopoly of violence and madness

If some think they can use their son to foist Islam on us they've failed already

i think we need to clarify this; Can you appeal the judgement of a case in which you were not initially a party to? was CAN a party to the case from inception?

Gradually islamization is creeping but ppl don't get to c it yet. Tomorrow they advocate for xtian prayers not to b said in the xtian school because Muslims attend the school. Na small small oil dey take stain the whole hand from a drop.
Hijab is your right, and the school also has a right on who dey admit or enforce uniforms they want...This is ST. CHARLES...Not St. Secular school or surajudeen ausarudeen Muslim college etc not a christian named schools. Who is sponsoring this? Your plans would fail! Muslims take every other religion for granted or as fools. If the reverse was d case by now Muslims wld have started what they know best, violence.

It was wen aregbe brought the idea and christians disagree wit him datz wen he took d case to court. He started it and he should stop it before religious crisis start in osun state cuz d way am seeing things now I pray we shudnt witness wat happened in jos
