The problem isn't beautifying oneself but how it is being done. Muslim women are meant to display beauty for those who deserve it ( husband, brother, father, etc) not for the entire men. They can also wear make up in the presence of other women which also falls in line with preserving modesty. Someone doing other than this isn't really my business. A question was asked and I responded. I agree that what is in the inside matters a lot but I would like to believe that the inside is just as important as the outside. For example, I cannot claim to love God at heart and curse or oppress people because it goes against his teachings. If a person is pious on the inside it shows externally as well ( in terms of manners, behavior, dressing and conduct).
