At more than 200m high, 150m wide and 5km long, the Hang Son Doong cave in Vietnam is so big it has its own river, Waterfall, jungle and climate.

First place in the world for being the largest cave in the world belongs to Hang Son Doong in Vietnam, about 450 kilometers (280 miles) south of Hanoi.

It is more than 8.7 kilometers (5.4 miles) long.

The cave was found by a local farmer, Ho Khanh in 1991.

He used it as a shelter from a storm.

It was not until 2009 that British Cave Research Association explored the cave and it became instantly one of the most amazing thing you can see in your life.

I came early for the classes

A team of British explorers, lead by Howard Limbert, first descended into the cave in 2009. Little did they know that they were the first to explore the largest known cave in the world.

The first tourists to explore Son Doong Cave did so in late 2013, spending $3,000 USD per person, while only 500 permits to enter the cave were given out in 2015.
