Solve the inequality 2x + 1 < (3x + 2)/x + 2
show workings

2x+1<(3x+2)/x+2
Solution
(3x+2) is divided by x+2 leaving 3 remaining
2x+1<3

Collect like terms
2x<3-1
2x=2
X=1

u really tried

2x+1<(3x+2)/x+2

firstly finding the L.C.M and the L.C.M is x+2

therefore
2x+1(x+2)<3x+2

open the bracket
2x² + 4x + x + 2 < 3x + 2

collect like terms
=2x² + 4x + x - 3x < 2-2
=2x² + 2x < 0
=2(x² + x) < 0

You made a mistake the LCM which was (x+2) will cancel the denominator leaving 3x+2
while (x+2) will multiply (2x+1)

I actually used this method but you are not simplifying
