Greenhulk trust me, SARS would like this kind of thing, and about the stress..... Leave matter for Matthias, Na the guy go pay for everything. AVG has done it's job, the ball is now in your court .

This is an easy job for SARS
Absolutely, just an hour's job and the criminal would bear the cost 400 percent.

Vault app can do thi also

I installed the apk app in my bb10, then an body that tried accessing it when in password mod the app take a picture of the person(date, time, location).

So when I unlock th phone, I just check and see their pictures, time and location.

You can set it to backup to your cloud, so once t phone is connected to the net it will automatically backup the logs/pictures

if you remember well i quoted you about helping me with any of your used device and you told me that you had a phone stolen so you do not have any phone to spare. I would have taken a screenshot of the quote but my feature phone do not have such feature. So please if not for the sake of justice or vengeance, but charity and help please get the phone and help me with it than leave it in the hands of the guy. Thanks
hahaha.
seems fair to me. Op what say you?
It's now worth the stress.
Help the less 'phone' privileged.

this my small tecon dose more than this, with SMART APP LOCK. if anybody try to unlock my phone if It fails one time. it will automatically record video and snap the person through front camera, and send it to my email account i can then see who tried to unlock it. it also have sms feature that i can send keywords to my device to lock/unlock etc is only map location dat it doesn't have.
So!!!!
In conclusion!!!
It doesn't do more than McAfee!!!
It actually does less!!!

Tecno good oh but LG G3, nai better pass.

Chai..better phone. I currently use this phone and it's a beast. A phone that came before it's time .. 3gb ram, 32 gig, quad-core 2.5 GHz and 5.5 inches on a 1440 x 2560 pixels. Sorry for the loss op, i feel your pain and glad you got over it.
I have learnt from this thread and i just activated my mcafee sharply.

DEAFandDUMB:
If the phone is yet to be flashed or unlocked, how can the software or the McAfee security snap and upload the image to their database base without network connectivity..
Please explain how this works..
You asked a brilliant question.
Unfortunately, none of the others seem to answer your question.
Possible steps taken, by which it could have gotten data connection.

1. McAfee locks the phone once you insert a new sim.(this lock is different from the phones lock)

2. The new sim might have a data subscription since Telcos no longer allow data connection via airtime.

3. The data connection was switched on before the phone was stolen so it still remains switched on.

4. While he's busy trying to unlock it, McAfee is busy sending an email with the data connection thanks to the ignoramus of a thief.

Qoud Erat Demonstrandum!

I think what you should request rather from greenhulk is to give you the go-ahead to go and recover the stolen phone. You should bear the little operational cost and also do the running around (should take about a day at most). That should be a fairer deal than asking a busy guy (who says he's already gotten over his loss) to go and recover the phone and hand it over to you.

Whatcha think?

This your comment is bad because you are giving similar criminals ideas to perfect their crime. Op needs POSITIVE advice I'm sure.
The comment is just to highlight the fact that some security features in phones that work efficiently in technologically advanced countries aren't very useful here. The points I stated are obvious facts which everyone knows. We are all here hopefully to educate ourselves. Phones are easy preys for criminals in this country and, since virtually everyone has one, it is worthwhile to educate ourselves on the antics of phone thieves. For example, some people do not know that a phone can be snatched off your hand while calling even in a busy place. Useful knowledge like this is good for everyone . You can lose your phone while stuck in traffic - recently a colleague's phone was removed from his breast pocket in broad daylight when he was caught up in a traffic jam. The thief just stretched his hand into the car and that was it. The idiot ran off and of course you don't expect a person to abandon his car to go and chase a thief - he may lose the car as well.

Take out time on a Saturday and go there with about 2 soldiers (If you have a commissioned officer friend, he would arrange this, I don't believe in police). I believe you will get the technician. In less than 30 minutes he would bring you guys face to face with the armed robber. That's the point where the soldiers would really enjoy because the beating eh, e go be like say make ground swallow am.

It's worth it, just do it. I don't know if you are worth a billion Naira for you to tell us that recovering your well deserved property is not important.
Gracias. I think this is what I will do, if not for the phone at least to get these criminals that rob people of their possesions in traffic. The phone was stolen in Abule egba jut by the traffic light.

The camera lens can be blocked rendering the security useless. This guy is a learner otherwise he would have done that.Even locating the phone by gps can be of no consequence in nigeria since the police may not be helpful in recovering it unless you are a "big man". Again, pray that your phone has not been dismantled in readiness to selling the parts piecemeal. Op just take it that your phone is gone for good - well, you may be lucky sha.
I am suspecting you sir

I don't believe that's the person that snatched your phone but the person that is trying to get access to it. Still, that doesn't make him any less a thief, hope he gets apprehended.

I'd like to install this feature on my devices, can someone shed more light on it?
This has more features than vault.

Your post is worse than useless because you have said nothing. Why is it that you people bury your head in the sand? Everything I said there is a matter of common knowledge. If you don't know, learn.

Re: This Guy Stole My LG G3 by 2kurupt(m): 7:30pm On Jun 30, 2016
McAfee did a great job but then it's obvious that it ain't integrated into the firmware as the OP thought.

I discover that most people don't utilise the security features on their Android smartphones, and no am not referring to just screen lock or pattern lock. In your phone settings, under security/privacy theirs an option called device administrator. Make sure the "Android device manager" is set active. That way you have a core, inbuilt security that can be activated straight from your Google account thru a PC.

I use a Xiaomi phone with firmware integrated security similar to Apple's cloud. If you like flash the phone a million times, you can't access the phone until you've input my mi account details coz the device is tired to my account.

If people are more aware of the security capabilities of their devices, theft will be greatly discouraged.
