This trial is nothing short of political chess game...To ensure Ekweremadu (PDP) never clinch the senate presidency should Saraki loses his case at CCT.

With the way things are going APC will end up wasting 4yrs achieving nothing unless they change their narratives and style of governance.

Funny enough those saying the 2015 Senate rule was forged are unable to produce the 'original' unforged 2015 Senate rule but are rather referring to the obsolete 2011 Senate rule which died with the seventh Senate

**** If you are look for 2011 original copy, you will find it in the 2011 standing rule, not 2015. 2011 produces 2015 and not 2015 producing 2015

And by the way, you use 2011 to inaugurate the present senate before any amendment can be made.

Buhari and his cohorts of hatred ( Evil Union ) Lai & Tinubu's politics of hatred is not going to work on us.Shame on them we aren't the ones tuing ourselves bottles we all got over it,to those that plan evil it back fires on their heads like coal in a dry bush now where was the coalition between Tinubu and Buhari to the extent we saw before the election ? Tell me.

The Hause/Fulani isn't my problem
The Yoruba man is the least of my worries.
Could i even get imported electronice without much of my Igbo brothers?

These 3 guys are cool. This administration will come to an end.Hatred can draw peeople to fight a person but hatred isnt a force that recognises binds and bonds. This hatred won't achieve anything Saraki and Ekweremadu hasn't stopped this administration from working on the country to the contrary it even prevents a one-party all tier of the system being used and manipulated by this administration that has an inner government working within it.

I'm waiting for the implosion of APC i'm waiting. Tinubu will weep I prophesy it !

I just don't know why some people in this forum cannot use their common senses and address issues knowledgically.

If Saraki and Ekweremadu are innocent, let them proof it at the Court not through Newspaper or sending letters to EU, USA etc.

If you are sure of your actions or deeds, you should be able to feel at home and relax, not bribing people that have brain disorderly to take a protest.

People have been agitating to see APC member dealt with, but still defending Saraki who happens to be an APC member... what a shame!

Some of you just been emotional over nothing..the law doesn't work on emotions..sorry!! Some wailers brain is too limp to understand that it is abuse of state institutions by the Executive in this case to reach selfish objectives. Wailers dont understand the genesis of this issue. Some senators actually raised alarm, they wrote a petition to the police and even approach a court and the judge said IN HIS OPINION, whatever happened there is their internal problems that is what Saraki and his group are quoting today.

The police after their investigations handed over the case file to the attorney general of the country to ascertain if a crime was committed, the attorney general now said a crime was committed and he decided to drag them to court. Saraki and his group now realised there are many problems facing the nation that deserves attention. The question you guys have failed to answer is, was the 2015 senate rules forged?

So forgery is an internal matter by elected representatives of the people who are expected to leave above board? Examine themselves . All your selfish comments are nothing but the manifestations of corruption , illegality, impunity, oiled by stolen funds fighting back. It unbelievable that any sane person will support forgery. This is a criminal offense if proven. It's unfortunately that's why this country will remain backward . Nobody is above the law and the level of desperation for position and power shown by Saraki and Ekweremadu is enough to for all reasonable men to check mate them because they are not doing it for the people but for selfish interest.

The senate standing rule section 110 was very clear and as a result put forward five provisions to be met if the senate standing rule is to be amended yet there was an amendment without due consideration to the said provisions. And we now have dishonourable men and women parading themselves as honourables , instituting shame and embarrassment to the nation even as far as the US. What is bad is bad irrespective of who committed it and when and where.

Forgery is an offense. Saraki and Ekweremadu have a case to answer. The argument that Ekweremadu was not invited by police does not mean that there was no forgery. The argument that the govt is gunning for Saraki does not prove there was no forgery. The senate standing rule section 110 was not met before the new amendment. This is a clear cut case of forgery and efforts should be made immediately to punish the culprits. Nobody is above the law. This should be a teaching moment for all the senators.

I read through your post, very informative, I gave you a thumb up for this detail. but simple question was PMB WAEC result show to us doing the election forged or not?

do you even stop to read through what you post?

what do you mean the original unforged 2015 rules. The 2015 Senate rules should be same with one used in the 7th Senate. After the 8th Senate resumes, they can now sit down and decide to make changes through laid down procedures.

when a small group of people does it secretly without the knowledge of others, that's definitely fraudulent and the altered document is definitely a forgery and it constitutes a criminal act.
You re mouthed my broda, Your comment hit The point straight up, more so the pikin (saraki) wey say him mama (apc) no go rest him too will definitely Not rest...betrayal is bad, that's What he saraki failed to no.

NASS bureaucracy prepares the Senate rule prior to the inauguration of the Senate. There is no how the charge of forgery can be sustained in this case. The 2011 Senate rule died with the seventh Senate.

So then no case..if the document was tagged 2011 then it will be a forgery...since it was named 2015 , for a forgery you have to produce the original 2015.
The clerk says the SP then David Mark authorised the 2015 document..so why drag Saraki and Ekweremadu and leave out David Mark?
Chai...PmB and Malam should cover their head in shame
Truth is David Mark ordered the 2015 document as the head of the Senate and PmB and company knows if they go through that route, they have no case!
It is a shame PmB has put political vendetta ahead of governance..
This offence is an impeachable offence

When yu read, don't just refer to what yu choose to understand. Read the post holistically.

The amendment according to the Deputy clerk (now Clerk) of the National Assembly was done during the 7th Assembly. He didn't say who can amend the rules whether by law or practice.

It is also not in contention that several versions of the Senate Rules referred to including the 2011 rules were amended by practice and procedure.

Senator Lawan who lost to Saraki submitted himself and contested for the President of the Senate under the same 2015 rules he is now alleging to be forged. Remember that as at the time of the election or subsequently before then, he didn't raise alarm so that the 2011 rules should be used but rather joined and cast home to a defeat.

Again, the witnesses who volunteered information to the police didn't mentioned the name of Saraki and or Ekweremadu. I don't know at what time they became suspects that as at that time of the election, they were candidates to the election and not the electoral college conducting the election. It's akin to INEC conducting an election and candidates to the election arrested because INEC used a different rule.

The present posture adopted by the AGF Malami and by implication the FGN is an erosion of the doctrine of separation of powers. The incursion and excursion of the learned AGF is rather unfortunate.

It's clearly and as a matter of fact correct that the AGF will never dare to charge the Senate president and his deputy without the approval of the presidency. Instead of finding a way out of the precarious position we find ourselves in, the FGN is instead springing up sensational stories and confusion in the system to divert the attention of hungry Nigerians and that of a bleeding nation to the issue at stake of turning the economy as promised.
