Some of you just been emotional over nothing..the law doesn't work on emotions..sorry!! Some wailers brain is too limp to understand that it is abuse of state institutions by the Executive in this case to reach selfish objectives. Wailers dont understand the genesis of this issue. Some senators actually raised alarm, they wrote a petition to the police and even approach a court and the judge said IN HIS OPINION, whatever happened there is their internal problems that is what Saraki and his group are quoting today.

The police after their investigations handed over the case file to the attorney general of the country to ascertain if a crime was committed, the attorney general now said a crime was committed and he decided to drag them to court. Saraki and his group now realised there are many problems facing the nation that deserves attention. The question you guys have failed to answer is, was the 2015 senate rules forged?

So forgery is an internal matter by elected representatives of the people who are expected to leave above board? Examine themselves . All your selfish comments are nothing but the manifestations of corruption , illegality, impunity, oiled by stolen funds fighting back. It unbelievable that any sane person will support forgery. This is a criminal offense if proven. It's unfortunately that's why this country will remain backward . Nobody is above the law and the level of desperation for position and power shown by Saraki and Ekweremadu is enough to for all reasonable men to check mate them because they are not doing it for the people but for selfish interest.

The senate standing rule section 110 was very clear and as a result put forward five provisions to be met if the senate standing rule is to be amended yet there was an amendment without due consideration to the said provisions. And we now have dishonourable men and women parading themselves as honourables , instituting shame and embarrassment to the nation even as far as the US. What is bad is bad irrespective of who committed it and when and where.

Forgery is an offense. Saraki and Ekweremadu have a case to answer. The argument that Ekweremadu was not invited by police does not mean that there was no forgery. The argument that the govt is gunning for Saraki does not prove there was no forgery. The senate standing rule section 110 was not met before the new amendment. This is a clear cut case of forgery and efforts should be made immediately to punish the culprits. Nobody is above the law. This should be a teaching moment for all the senators.

The average black man is mentally unstable, call it a curse or whatever!

do you even stop to read through what you post?

what do you mean the original unforged 2015 rules. The 2015 Senate rules should be same with one used in the 7th Senate. After the 8th Senate resumes, they can now sit down and decide to make changes through laid down procedures.

when a small group of people does it secretly without the knowledge of others, that's definitely fraudulent and the altered document is definitely a forgery and it constitutes a criminal act.

Yes it is a criminal act, but my question is why indict Saraki and Ekweremadu? So many things has been said about this case, the investigations and all that, there have never been any evidence out there that i know of that Ekweremadu and Saraki where involved in altering so called documents i maybe corrected. If they are involve in anyway i will love to see them jailed to teach our politicians lessons. But to indict someone without questioning by the investigators how come even when it is obvious its not done unless they are being charged in absentia.

So what evidence do u have against saraki and his deputy? We're their names mentioned in d police report? Why not conduct an investigation on who authorised d ammendment of d senate standing rules b4 commencement of any persecution.

previous administrations got some list.
As for this administration, it has the mandate of patriotic Nigerians to start this war from whom ever. it chose to start from Dasuki, and now Saraki and Ekeremadu.

prosecuting suspected criminals does not translate to persecution, check your dictionary, please.

@cyprex seems ur convinced of your stand that persecution and prosecution are ways apart then why are u tagging me? aren't our stand points ought to be ways apart? Check your mind please

According to the report, he “stated that the leadership of the National Assembly of the 7th Senate ordered the 2015 Standing Rules as amended by their convention and practice. (He stated) that the Senate Standing Orders 2003, 2007 and 2011 followed the same procedure as that of 2015. He emphasized that in the Parliament, amendment of the Standing Orders is by practice not necessarily by procedure.

This just shows that it's mark that is culpable for this offense not saraki. They have been tweaking it since 2003. Seems they have reached their bus-stop

. Quite a piece but not exhaustive. The posers not addressed are as follows 1.if a forgery really took place, was the SP in charge at the time of the forgery? 2. The statements of the clerk included the facts that the previous rules apart from 1999 followed this same procedure as 2015. 3. Is there not time or necessity to include the statements of the principal accused in the prosecution? My observations these days are that most people reason based on their emotions on Nigeria issues not on facts on the ground. We are like hungry dogs baying for blood reminiscent of the French Revolution where every member of the aristocrat are guilty as charged. However we must also be warned that the major executioners of that revolution were also gulloitined at the final phase.

A quick question for you sir- why did Mr lawan contest with saraki after knowing that the standing rule is illegally amended? Why complain after his failure to win as senate president?

Because I believe if himself is honourable, he shouldn't have contested at all and would have been complaining before then. Did you think Mr law an should have complained if he did win as senate president? A food for though my dear brother.

Funny enough those saying the 2015 Senate rule was forged are unable to produce the 'original' unforged 2015 Senate rule but are rather referring to the obsolete 2011 Senate rule which died with the seventh Senate

Really tru talk.. From this report.. Standing rules were being amended every 4 yrs.. And as far as the number senators who did it were enough to form a quorum, it is binding. Why should the one of 2015 raise dusts?as far as amendments were usually down every 4yrs.. Its a mater of senators not ours, to me they outsmarted the agrrieved Party guys.
