I am from Anambra and a fan of he as well, and Anambra in the era of Willie came to media limelight, which is one aspect is good and in the other hand is not.

Often when I come online I see good imagery of my state but when I call home, people seem to think otherwise

Peter obi was low on the media outfit but did a great job untold but what do we have now?

My governor kicks a ball and he' being praised to high heavens like we was voted to relax.

I story short.

Am from aguata LGA, I am on a road trip now to the village for my uncle's burial and unfortunately the road all the way from awka-etiti, ichida, igbo-ukwu Is trash.

Unpassable. Igbo-ukwu is same place an idiot called ekwuinife hails from but she rather fight tooth an nail to return to abuja while her people suffer untold hardship.

Lemme come to my town uga.
We have the infamous uba family, Chris Andy a ugochukwu uba yet we live in dust.

Am calling on the media house of Anambra state government to show also the bad parts of Anambra so something good will come to the oppressed.

Tell us the great job untold peter obi did in Anambra.. Peter obi did a great job untold and yet it didn't get to your location for 8 years and you expect willie obiano do do magic in just 2 years.. Didn't you hear there is a shortfall in allocation and obiano is still managing to pay salaries as against what is obtainable in other states? Obiano is today receiving less than 40% of what obi received as FG allocations for 8 years and yet it is obiano you expect to do magic in your location while singing the "great job untold" by the fraudulent peter obi... rubbish

No Peter is not to blame. Peter did his best with ANIDS. He worked in all sectors, in all towns and local governments. Willie has no ANIDS. And he pledged to make Awka look good. He's done very well, no doubt. Those flyovers are cute. But mehn, Awka is quite bad.

I agree Awka is bad, but the problem is with peter obi that neglected the capital for 8 years.. And many of the internal roads in okpuna, commissioners quarters, Ifite axis, ngozika, isusniocha, and a host of others were tarred by Peter. I know all these because I've seen Awka during Peter's time and now. With the exception of the express way and the wonderful flyovers, Willie has not tarred any other road in Awka. Again, I don't blame him. Economy is tough. But here is what I expect from him... He should try to maintain the ones tarred by Peter. Many of them need some maintenance. For example... Ifite road leading to Unizik. That's the worst tarred road in Awka and it's a major road that leads to one of Nigeria's leading universities. But it has been left damaged floor nearly two years, if not more.

Peter did not do magic but honestly he did a lot of work in Anambra. Thanks to him and partly to Ngige, who started the works, Anambra is the most connected state in Nigeria. All the towns and villages are interconnected by tarred roads. He also gave most town unions money to tar the major road in each of their towns. Any town that has no tarred road in Anambra is because the town Union leadership personally appropriated the money meant for their development.

Peter tried. But I hope with time and a better economy, Willie will do better.

I quit understand you passion but I think you are misinformed.. First, The dualization of ziks avenue was started by Ngige, it was an Ngige project along with the pedestrian bridge at unizik junction... Second, why do we have to repair roads already done if not for the mediocrity that characterized obi's projects.. In Rivers state, Wike is not maintaining roads done by Amaechi, he is building new roads because Ameachi's roads are top notch, same in other states and even roads done by Ngige in Anambra.. Awka cannot develop with single and tiny roads littering everywhere, I have been saying this since but then you got to appreciate obiano for even having the thought to transform Awka.
Apart from transforming that expressway, don't forget obi also set up Awka Capital Development Agency which is the first of it's kind.. i guess money is limiting the projects he would have done in Awka..

Obiano has started on the right path.

I totally agree with you. But you know in works, the man that takes the credit is the man that finishes the job not the one that starts it. In my last post I credited Ngige for starting the works but Peter clearly takes the credit for completing it.

Again I'm not saying Peter was a saint. I totally get what you're saying. In fact I only mentioned Peter when you first started by blaming him. I want you to give him credit because if you know Awka well enough then you'd agree that Awka is what it looks like today more from the efforts of Peter then any past leader bar Ngige.

Also I agree that some of Peter's jobs were not of top quality. Ngige built better roads. That we know. And I agree that Willie started well. But I expect him to fix those damaged roads urgently. There is no argument that Awka is still a village and it angers me as much it angers every Anambra indigene. Willie needs to start fixing Anambra just like Peter fixed Onitsha. Talking about Peter again, you know he was the one that remodeled Onitsha expressway, right?

Peter obi left Anambra as a big village constructing single and narrow sub standard roads all over the place.. No urbanization plan.. Obiano is just two years in power and he has done a lot even with the bad economy and low allocations

Thats why I told you the economy should be considered.. The man has great plans but less money.. Who could have ever taught Anambra can get these type of projects? Remember peter obi used to say the reason we shouldn't expect Akwa ibom type of projects in Anambra because Anambra does not have money but today these flyovers can beat any flyover in Akwa ibom..
