kahal29:Only fools rush to take sides... In France's July Revolution of 1830, after three days of riots, the statesman Talleyrand, now elderly, sat by his Paris window, listening to the pealing bells that signaled the riots were over. Turning to an assistant , he said, "Ah the bells! We're winning." "Who's 'we', mon prince?" the assistant asked. Gesturing for the man to keep quiet, Talleyrand replied, "Not a word! I'll tell you who we are tomorrow." ---------- Law 20, Do Not Commit to Anyone, 48 laws of Power, Robert Greene. |

Because of thirst for power, you're moving majestically to come and benefit in another man's sweat. Bleep the Law in Nigeria, who's without sin? Are they all obeying the law? Instead of you saying that he's my party man, let me wait 4 my turn. You're there moving and smiling as if you worked 4 it. Go and enter let see! |

Honestly am short of words, here in Abia people are rejoicing and happy about the court ruling. Ikapzu still Kicking against it. Doesn't make sense I think is a well plan game. The high Court made the ruling and appeal didn't respond up till now that means there is something fishy about this. Just passing by!!! ![]() |

Nigerian Politics is getting intresting. Gov Ikpeazu should obey the rule of law. He is not the first Gov to ve been asked by Court to vacate his seat. It happened to Senator Andy Uba who was Gov. For just 17days after wasting enough resources during campaing. It happened to Ngige even after 3yrs in power. Meanwhile a higher court in Abuja has ordered him to vacate his seat and he is still quoting a lower court from Abia. I expect the chief Judge of the State to do the needful. Even if it means swearing him in any venue apart from Govt house. |

Shebi dey say two heads are better than one. Toh!!! Let both of them work as Governors and make history as the first state to do so. And the constitution shld better start lokin into it. I v finish making no sense now time to make sense. I think this is a PDP created chaos. Y don't they as a united party work hand in hand to succeed. If pdp so love themselves, they shld v called their both sons to other within the hause bfor things gets out of hand. To me I believe Ikpeazu have done well so far and should be allowed to continue his work. Afterall they are both pdp and they all politicians have in one way or the other come short of the law. If they can't agree then let them pack one side and stop causing nuisance in this the state. Better still the party that lost (APC) should take over. Drops mike...... Pls bfor u qoute me, am not an APC fan. |

ozoemenaca:Ikpeazu is a goner, from simple facts of the judgement, He know this, but needs a few days to weigh his options Facts have proven the Appeal he filed in Osisioma-ngwa does not grant him a stay of Execution, this is a pre-election case and not necessary a post election tribunal that gives him a 21 day room for appeal and stay of execution. He can only appeal from outside office Ugochukwu Ogah was well prepared for this. Comment by diegwu01 |

quid:you now see why the rest of us are opposed to Biafra? ordinary governorship una no fit get your act straight. In my opinion the current governor status dosent change until he has exhausted his appeal. Being issued a certificate of return dosent equate being sworn in by the chief justice of a state as is required by law. so the other guy should better galvanize his law team for the appeal court and eventualy the apex one. One Nigeria forever |

Once Dr Ikpeazu has appealed the Federal High Court's judgement accordingly, hence the recent development in Abia State is uncalled for and in abeyance. |

Bimpe29:Filing of Appeal or notice of Appeal is not the same as Stay of proceedings or execution. Notice of appeal does not negate the decision of the court unless an order is explicitly gotten to that effect. Pls be properly informed. See what a Nairalander diegwu01 has to say and I agree completely with him on the legal issues he raised. Ikpeazu is a goner, from simple facts of the judgement, He know this, but needs a few days to weigh his options. Facts have proven the Appeal he filed in Osisioma-ngwa does not grant him a stay of Execution, this is a pre-election case and not necessary a post election tribunal that gives him a 21 day room for appeal and stay of execution. The problem we have in Nigeria is when you are contesting for any position people don't look or ask about your past once you have money to throw away then you are qualify which is very bad that Governor presented a faked tax document that was discovered Can anyone evade tax in a civilized country in America tax & insurance if you evade it its jail .if we continue to support evils beacuse he's my brother then corruption can never leave Nigeria Abi Ariesbull , loomer |

kahal29:Diversionary tactic. You fool only the uninitiated. PDP can't dim its prospects in Abia more than a year after elections. Abia north has ruled Abia state since 1999 and may not be too keen on this court imbroglio. We know Ikpeazu stepped on the toes of the Fulani when his state he governs said no to cattle grazing bill, resuscitated Bakassi boys fo security after Fulani killed somebody in Abia. |
