you need not to gf! Your view/opinion is always welcomed..i always learn from here and go an make my research to strengthen and get my self convinced and not relying on mere hearsay..some people advise/comment wrongly and which of people who are reluctant always fall in this pitfalls.people are out here to debate if they feel their opinion was satisfactory to be countered. If you want to comment/advice,do that without doubt and misinformation.most questions asked here can be gotten from Google, with your intended school, cic website. I was talking to my Admission officer everyday during my Admission application,at a point we became friendly that my mails wouldn't pass 24hrs without her replying and she guided me throughout my Admission process, school fees payment without asking any single question here.Even on the steps to feel your study permit form and family information form are on the cic website. Please since yesterday till today it has been one argument or the other..i only want to be seeing news from CIC accra Ghana not argument/debate of 2.1,2.2,Masters or not PGC/PGD,competitive or not..Google is your intimate friend if one needs concrete convincing information.

Good evening all I've been following this thread for a while haven't seen a case peculiar to mine yet lol.... I opted out of a federal school in Nigeria after 5yrs and I'm intending to relocate to Canada to acquire a college diploma in business administration before completing my degree in a University with the sponsorship of my parents. I'll be needing the house in going about this

Pls, did CIC called your work place to confirm the bond? pls ur reply is needed.

Duchynwa:

Ok, so i informed the school where i was going and they sent a 'letter of confirmation of Funding Letter for Visa Purposes '
I had someone transfer 500k in my account as i had very little money and reprinted another statement of account. I called their attention to my sponsor(who was also my sponsor in 2015 during my visit to Canada) He had around 3 something million.
On the case of not returning :
I told them i was given a six months visa to canada last yr n I went n returned, i have family here who are not travelling with me n I can never abandon them here in Nigeria. I have a job and will be going on study leave with full pay so that am legally bonded to return to my job upon completion of my studies. (I included my study leave with pay approval letter and Bond letter which i did not include in the previous application).
Thats all the rest na God ooo
Hope this helps

everyone needs to see this
http://www.vfsglobal.ca/Canada/Nigeria/public_holidays.html

about 5working days(1 full week) gone. this probably extends the waiting time from 13wks to 14wks.
Once more, let's remain in prayer for God to hasten every individual involved in our visas.

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 10 by Naturalized(m): 2:24am On Jul 05, 2016
Let me drop my comment on this 2.2 Admission thing before i leave.

While we should not make blatant/generic proclamations like "MSC Admission is impossible with 2.2", people should also know that it is extremely difficult to get funded masters admission without a solid 2.1 - especially in the sciences.

I am in a graduate program in the Natural Sciences and i can confidently say most departments wont admit you into their MSC program if you have a sub 4.00 grade in Nigeria (There are lots of applicants from Asia and some of their own students for instant and everyone is entitled to a degree of funding which is huge anyways so it can get really competitive). A guy from Nigeria for instance is joining my lab this fall and he was the best graduating student from his school in his set i heard.

Now aside the general picture of overall GPA, your last 4 semester GPA is also very important but they will first scan your admissibility by considering your overall GPA before looking at how good your last 2 years of undergrad study was.

Having said that, you may also get good programs by having solid papers(Having some of them published in well respected journals wont hurt ask @Jengbetiele he was a hotcake around Canada cause of his published papers).

Lastly, Admissibility depends on how competitive the program is, how much funding the department have, and if a supervisor lobbies for you. Universities like the UOtawwa hardly offer funding for some program so they accept a lot of 2.2 graduates into their programs(Especially law) so do not use them as the sole yardstick - GPA is very very important at least to get into a masters Program.

ust re applied for my study permit. My cousin, who resides and work in the us is my sponsor..This are the document i submitted.

All cic documents

-Sponsor soa 64,000USD

-Notarized Afdidavit of support

-Sponsorship declaration

-Letter drom sponsor employer stating her position, year of employment and annual earnings. And the employer contact details for further reference

Affidavit of return
Letter of admission
University transcript
Bsc certificate
Nysc certificate
Waec certificate
Birth certificate
Certificate of origin
Tution fee reciept/half payment
Voters card
Cover letter
Statement of purpose
CV

My concerns are i didnt include birth certificate of my sponsor to show relationship. But in her affidavit of support which was notarized..she states it there that we are cousins. And in the sponsorship declaration she stated that she s sponsoring me because my dad took care of her education from the primary level to tetiary.so she s kinda returning the favor.
Also..my cousin is married with two kids which she stated in the affidavit of support..but her bank statement, work id still bears her maiden name. Even she was refered to by her maiden name in the reference letter from her employer. House what do you think about this.. #pgd 8 months

... I was so inquisitive I had to confirm from Uni Ottawa site for electronic business technology. bros abeg no school in Canada accepts less than a 2.1 for masters and the 2.1 must be a very strong one except are ready to keep spending 26,000 naira = 100 Canadian dollars to each schools. 3.73 is almost 3.75 CGPA so he could try out some schools but my bro e too hard walahi. I'm just been very sincere with u

Let me set the facts straight so you understand...

Okay with my very low CGPA I applied for a PGD program. The school got back to me and offered me other options. Their reason was, they were not offering PGD in that school year I applied for. I contacted the school and "a guy (I also met him in person later when I moved here)" spoke to me and advised me that System Science was suitable for my grade. EBT was part of the programs that were offered. I opted for System Science which I'm currently studying and in my second year.
