LordofNairaland: No, Mate. The story about the Madman is about a character called Simaroke. Simaroke was the Mad Man but I can't remember the author and name of the novel. Cheers. 1 Like |

jordinsparkles:Is nairaland meant for those born in the 90s alone. If the guy use a personal blackboard,(slate is the correct name back then), it means he is older than those who did not use it, but that does not exempt him from sharing his views on nairaland. As a matter of fact, I had my own Slate too, my painting and picture books, read Mr Bako etc. You can call that weird too. If you are too young to join issues here, do yourself a favour, read without commenting and quoting to learn wisdom. Thank you. |

LordofNairaland: It's "Samankwe and the highway robbers". |
Re: Throwback: Nigerian Literature Books We Used In Secondary School!!! by LordOfNaira: 5:38pm On Jul 05, 2016 |
savanto: It is not that, Bro. The story book was about a madman called Samankwe or Sawankwa or something like that. It was set in Western Nigeria. It opened with a soccer match between some schoolboys. Honestly, I miss that book. When I had it then, I was too young to appreciate it. Now, I want it. I can't even remember the writer of that book. |
