Good evening.

I'm a student in Nigeria being invited by my brother's friend for holiday in the UK. I was wondering if I could state that she's my cousin on the form. Obviously, we don't bear the same surname. Will that hurt my chance in any way?

Thanks

Good evening everyone, justwise, iblaw, worry, tunde etc, I need ur urgent contribution on the issue below-.

A friend of mine applied for UK visa in 2006 in which an agent advised her to do invitation letter but she was refused and didn't win appeal, She later applied for another UK visa in 2010 through an agent who collected money from her . During the application the agent advised my friend not to disclose in the new application that she has applied for Visa in 2006, As a novice, she agreed and she clicked No, that she has never applied for a UK visa Becos the Agent said, she applied with the Old passport, that the Embassy won dectect the initial application, since she didn't do biometrics and that the DOB on the old passport is different from the one on the E-passport.

She submitted and the application came out unsuccessful and the Embassy stated that she claimed she has never applied for UK visa but during their search, they found a resemblance in an application that was made in 2006 which bears same name but different DOB. In conclusion, The ECO stated that if they have any reason to doubt her application next time it may attract 10yrs ban . she has travelled to US, Canada N some part of Europe. Now she wants to apply for UK visa and she couldn't find the refusal note again. Kindly give ur candid advise on what to do to secure her UK visa, thanks

Honesty is her only possibility of salvation now.

She should re-apply
With all honest documents.
No mistakes with DOB or name or details!
Add a one page letter admitting the previous problems caused by agents.

She may be rejected but may escape a ten year ban.

Thanks so much worry, the DOB on the Old passport is different from that of th E-Passport, I advised her to come out clean and she should do an affidavit concerning the DOB, what's ur opinion?

She must be honest and admit everything in the past.
An affidavit for her CORRECT age will help.

Hi guys.

I'm having trouble having my dean address my letter of introduction. I'm submitting in Ikeja but the only addresses I've seen so far are those of Victoria Island and Abuja.

Please does anyone know what address I'm supposed to address my letter of introduction to since I'm submitting in Ikeja.

Thanks

Hi all... does anyone here know the direct contact number of TLS VICTORIA ISLAND. I need to know the real public holiday cos they stated on their website that their public holiday is on the 7th of July which is on Thursday while other institutions and organisations declared 5th of July and 6th as their public holiday

Thanks alot

She needs the refusal note so as to be sure if she has been banned and if not, then she can reapply, she doesn't want her passport seized by the embassy. But is it possible for the embassy to seize her passport?

Stop making up stories.
The UK embassy will not seize her passport unless it is a fake!
Even if she has a UK ban her PP will be returned.

Hi Justwise. What do you think about this?

This should not worry you, the content is what matters and not the address. The same embassy will treat it no matter the address.

I don't think she has learned her lessons

Thank you Justwise, I told her the same thing that I dnt believe she lost the refusal note but after she narrated her story, I realised she actually misplaced it. She said it's almost 6 years ago, that she couldn't remember the content vividly. Since she doesn't remember the content, what do you think she should do? Submit fresh application or she should just admit the discrepancies about the DOB issue and explain how the Agent messed things up for her in 2010. I have givn her my own candid advise but I really want to seek for more opinion from my bosses on here.

I ain't making up stories Bro, I see this forum as hospital where people come for treatments...lol, Now ur patient wants healing. A lot of silent readers that are in this same situation wants to hear ur opinion. I told her to send a message to the embassy if she's not sure of the BaN. Good morning.

Hi everyone. Please who has recently carried out a transaction online using GTB MasterCard? Trying to pay for a ticket and I don't know what exchange rate they will use. I made enquiry at the bank yesterday and was told it's 283 naira to $1. Not sure i should take them for their word before they bill/charge me higher and I enter "one-chance".

Good morning everyone. I missed you all oooo. Justwise, FrontpageLawyer, Iblaw, worry359, Una go say I don go underG. grin
I still dey, work/activities just plenty for me.

I have a friend planning on visiting the UK in Nov, for hols. To stay with a friend. She has sent in her application and will be going for Biometrics in a week`s time. I asked her to show me her form so we can scrutinize it here, I don't want her to dash the embassy money like that ooo.

She is 27, single, working in a financial institution for 3 years plus. Earns about 220k a month after tax. No travel history. Her passport expires June 2017 (hope the period is ok). Her budget for 2 weeks is:
Cost to you personally - £1010
Total amount you have for the trip - £1520
Cost of aeroplane - £785
Cost of accommodation - 0
Cost of living expenses- £500
Is staying with a friend the main reason for visiting UK. She ticked YES.

My opinion, it think the last question should say NO, main purpose to be Tourism which is why she is going there ( Does this even matter?). Also the account balance is not strong enough. Oanda as at Jul 5 is 371. Dats abt N564k. Flight and living expenses will chop more than 80% of her money. I noticed the summation for the cost of trip doesn't match.

Please what do you guys think? What can be corrected using the extra sheet?
