Is Samankwe in the Rainforest not the story about a madman?

There is a story book I have been looking for all my life. I am not sure if it is Samankwe in the Rainforest or Samankwe The Madman.

No, Mate. The story about the Madman is about a character called Simaroke. Simaroke was the Mad Man but I can't remember the author and name of the novel. Cheers.

but you said it yourself....you used a personal black chalk board. That was old, even those born in 1990- date didn't even use that. weird!
Is nairaland meant for those born in the 90s alone. If the guy use a personal blackboard,(slate is the correct name back then), it means he is older than those who did not use it, but that does not exempt him from sharing his views on nairaland. As a matter of fact, I had my own Slate too, my painting and picture books, read Mr Bako etc. You can call that weird too. If you are too young to join issues here, do yourself a favour, read without commenting and quoting to learn wisdom. Thank you.

Those books were the best, man! I learnt reading with Ralia, the sugar girl. Then after, I read every book I came across. I read the Dark Child by C. M Laye in primary school. King Solomon's Mines is one book I'll never forget. If there is anyway I'd get it, someone, please, tell me.

But all sha, I thank my mom. God bless her. She showed me all. Btw, I'm just 19. Not everyone of this generation isn't sound.

I also learn how to read using "Ralia the sugar girl".. King solomon's mine is the first book i read with excitement at a very tender age of 13yrs(2003) , and i can still remember wat i read frm d book {like mother Gagor) . Am also looking for d book for my junior ones..

It is not that, Bro. The story book was about a madman called Samankwe or Sawankwa or something like that. It was set in Western Nigeria. It opened with a soccer match between some schoolboys. Honestly, I miss that book. When I had it then, I was too young to appreciate it. Now, I want it. I can't even remember the writer of that book.
