hi Nadia,
i really don't know much regards form A.
Do you know anyone in canny? One alternative will be to pay money into this person's naira account, then the person pays dollars on your behalf to your school. You'll both agree a rate before commencing, the person may give you favourable rate if he/she isn't needing naira anytime soon
Ok, not bad... but dat person has to be a trusted sombori...Thank you!!!

Anyone else with Form A info biko, is it still available? A friend said ts not...

men jux dey para,CIC jux dey make some Gs dey fume..all thesame its all about to calm the tension,if you take a look at past threads, there is always a moment like this when CIC feels like increasing tension by no response to any1,an argument from nowhere heats up the forum and people go dy para upandan grin grin @ACRAYO we no dy fight cos we fit still meet for canada either at a bar, hustling point, hotspot.there is no secret behind my acct @justice blocked my old acct and i had a new 1 in june.if you read my posts on my profile you would see i applied in may and still waiting on cic too like every other person here wey dey para grin grin but the follow up on bbm and twitter i cant interpret the outcome so to be safe i had to block and decline the already accepted invite. to every1 one here after the drama,arguments,tension,heat..we will still share our testimonies.in essence do the right thing 1st and pray to God to finish the last for you, that is when prayer works!

merci beaucoup!!!

Hello,

Good day.

Please am an International student studying Postgraduate diploma in Canada (one year course) am presently in final term(2nd).

I wasn't married while applying for study permit but now am married and I have even changed my name to my husband name in canada.

I want to bring my husband to Canada, can we apply for OWP or visiting visa? If visiting visa, what will be the content of Invitation letter and other supporting documents?

Thanks so much.
Since you're already in Canada, it will better you call CIC Customer Service on 18882422100. But you should act fast (if possible) before the completion of your program.

IOM sends almost immediately the result comes out, this I'm sure. Consultant practice doesn't, and bear in mind, God forbid, you require further tests, Consultant practice may be a little bit slow.
So if speed of delivery is your concern, and you do not want to "experiment" the validity of the 14days, go to IOM. This only represents my own opinion.

you used both before?

Pls gurus in the house, I need your candid advice.

I got a mail last week tuesday instructing me to go ahead and do medical exam. One of the instruction says I have to complete the test before the expiration of 14 days. I only have the opportunity to do it tommorrow.

I called consutant practice to know the number of days it will take before the result can be sent, thry said 6 working days. IOM said two working days. This shows the mrdical exam result will not get to the embassy before the end of the 14 days

Considering price, medical test in IOM costs 33k while it is only 28k in consultznt practice. Hence, I prefer Consultant practice because of the price, but ...

Do I need to bother about the number of days it will take them before sending the results? Or I should go ahead and do it in any of the two hospitals.

which did you finally use?

Hi Nadia,
Form A transactions are called Trade invisibles and they are still being done.
School fees payment paid to the school and living expenses paid directly in to a student's account fall within this category
The only issue here is that the rates and availability of FX is dependent on the interbank market as opposed to the CBN, as before.
So what I'm trying to say is that banks, especially the FXPD's (foreign exchange primary dealers) still engage in these transactions, but at a rate predetermined by the interbank market. So different banks with different rates, and different processes. So, Try out to inquire about Trade invisibles from banks. It's not among the banned items so I'm very certain that banks still do it, just at the interbank rate for that day, determined by availability of FX.
I know Access did formA for about N300:1USD last week.

The good thing is that you don't have to wait for a whole week as in the past, for the banks to send these Trade invisible items to CBN, they just debit and remit next day, if funds are available. (Tho CBN intervenes from time to time, but that's without the knowledge of the customer)

Hope this calms you down.

Cheers.

Hello house.. Please, this is getting out of hand and I am getting frustrated. CIC has finally won getting me frustrated and thinking of withdrawing my application. I submitted my application on the 30th of March, but no medical request call or Response and my international passport is with them. And that is preventing me from applying to doing another alternative. Sent mail to them but no response, tried linking my application online because I did Paper Route and it's saying Application not found. I am frustrated and I need them to say something.. Please help...
