The components of balance doesn't include sales even though reduction in sales after profits which is moved to the balance. Balance sheet major component are assets and liabilities. Moreover there are other ways to increase sales without selling on the expressway
The reduction in sales with affect profit which will certainly have ripple affect on the running of the company.

the best way to stop street hawking is to construct good roads...,put to end what ever that causes traffics etc.
doing this would also save road users from armed robbers, thieves, street littering, agberos and said hawkers

Rubbish! Would the ban also lead to a drop in the number of athletes that will be representing us since there won't be any hawker running after cars to sell their wares?

Look everyone! We all want what is best for the state. Lagos is gradually becoming a mega city and we have to do away with all these anomalies in the society. We can't have a viable mega city with the eminent presence of street hawking, Okada men, and Danfo drivers. Let us face it, it won't work with the presence of these creatures. Sacrifices have to be made for good developements. By the way, the Lagos State government should not be made responsible for all those hawking, what were u all expecting?? Is he the one responsible for the Ibo boys from the east who jump on a bus coming to Lagos with the sole purpose of hawking? Or is he the one responsible for the Yorubas who overpopulate hereby finding it difficult to feed their various families hence the hawking?. Can u leave your country Nigeria for Canada and take to hawking? Why should the Lagos State government Nd Ambode always be the one to feed every Tom, Dick, and harly. U want to demolish illegal houses built on setbacks that are blocking drainage systems which in turn causes heavy flood that destroys lives and properties, they will tell you to compensate and look for an alternative for the affected people forgetting that those people are guilty of those crimes. U chase market people away who do their trades under high tension wires, they start singing songs of sorrows forgetting that the government is trying to secure their lives from those high tension wires which might actually kill them all on a certain day. U want to do a business in Lagos State, do it legally No matter how little it is just make sure it iegal then No government would come near you.

Lagos State Government is back again with their efficient poverty alleviation tactic;
https://life.partyjollof.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/Tupac-gif.gif

Its that type where they get to eradicate poverty by eradicating poor people.

https://life.partyjollof.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/Joker-clap.gif

So what are the impications of this ban?

1. You are going to starve to death inside Lagos traffic.
https://life.partyjollof.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/crying-man.gif

2. If you don’t starve, your sweat will kill you inside Lagos traffic.
https://life.partyjollof.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/Sweating-man.jpg

Because nobody to even sell handkerchief. But to the more important things;

3. Jobs will be lost.

https://life.partyjollof.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/many-hands-on-head-600x403.jpg

You might not know, but you see thousands of street traders every week. From the hundreds hawking in traffic, to your favourite boli or roasted corn woman. To that dude carrying yoghurts on his shoulder to sell. All of them could either choose unemployment or a 90,000 naira fine.

https://life.partyjollof.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/ashamed-benzino.gif

4. Remember UAC foods? Those guys that have been making Gala sausages since forever?

https://life.partyjollof.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/Akagum-Gala-600x220.png

Yep. A significant part of the revenue the generate happens in traffic. Imagine what would happen when they don’t make as much Gala because demand has fallen. Jobs. Will. Go.

https://life.partyjollof.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/scared.gif

5. Have you ever seen a traffic seller chasing a car before?

https://life.partyjollof.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/Street-hawker-running.gif

If he loses his job and decides to start chasing people and snatching their bags, how will you catch him?

What do you think about Lagos State Government’s new street trade ban?
I think the ban is in order but it can be modified to lessen the negative effect or impact the ban can engender.

On a more serious note though, It is a step forward in the right direction, though its a rather hard one to make. You can never spot hawkers on the streets in civilized countries, however, there should be some sort of way to recompense the massive loss of jobs and/or revenue this decision will make.
Have you been outside nigeria to say street hawker are never started in traffic
Even in US BRONXX STREET HAWKERS SUNTACITY SA THERE ARE STREET HAWKERS BUT NOT ON MAJOR ROADS
nigeria followers are one of the worst followers around the world

Can't rily make much sense out of this post...

Will THEY DIE if they go back to their states?

Hawking is only banned in lag... 35 other states still allow it.

Must CRIME be the next resort? Lagos must show the world black africa can actually modernise itself.

As for UAC, lacasera etc...they will restrategise and employ staffs to man stands @ major bus stops.

The innovative igbo boys will be plottin the way forward why the "WE ARE BEING VICTIMISED" igbo boys will be wailing.

mega city? or over populated city?
a "megacity" where the govt don't know their job, don't do their job in fact don't want to do any job.
please the reason that gave rise to the ban was not planned along with being a megacity.
take London for example is this how their roads are?, is this how their "lastma" ,or police behave.?
please we are yet to have purely functional institutions.
Lagos is a subset if Nigeria.
other megacity plan ahead. but we? we do fire brigade approach.
please please spare me megacity. we are populated no doubt but are our local govt functioning such that each us seeking to out perform d other to encourage localization if businesses to their domain.
the ban may be good but wrong timing because it was not a planned idea.
my opinion

OP,
How did UAC retain employees and made profit from selling gala before it was hawked on the street?

Security and safety is not negotiable, if they choose to chase and snatch purse because they are banned fron chasing cars then there is a space to put them and they can chase beans at will.

We support the ban on street hawking. We support the ban on Biafra also.

Until Ibos return home and start developing their own region we do not believe Biafra is a viable project. Once we see actions on the ground that prove it is doable, we will support their mission, otherwise no.

Once we see intent on part of street hawkers to respect and abide by law provisions will be made to rehabilitate them...until then, Lagos State owe nobody a rehabilitation. We did not ask you to come here to begin with, we don't have a settlement contract for refugees escaping under- development in Iboland.
