School fees payment paid to the school and living expenses paid directly in to a student's account fall within this category
The only issue here is that the rates and availability of FX is dependent on the interbank market as opposed to the CBN, as before.
So what I'm trying to say is that banks, especially the FXPD's (foreign exchange primary dealers) still engage in these transactions, but at a rate predetermined by the interbank market. So different banks with different rates, and different processes. So, Try out to inquire about Trade invisibles from banks. It's not among the banned items so I'm very certain that banks still do it, just at the interbank rate for that day, determined by availability of FX.
I know Access did formA for about N300:1USD last week.

The good thing is that you don't have to wait for a whole week as in the past, for the banks to send these Trade invisible items to CBN, they just debit and remit next day, if funds are available. (Tho CBN intervenes from time to time, but that's without the knowledge of the customer)

Hope this calms you down.

Cheers.

That should be
Cad $1= 230.

Still too high. If I'm sure that I will get it at a reasonable rate in Ghana or Togo,i won't mind. Has anyone here bought his dollars from Togo or Ghana?

Our God is God of miracle and wonder, its total wrong and incorrect for you to think there something that God can not do. If God can raise the dead, how will HE find it difficult to grant a study permit just cos of unexplained gaps. Yes you are trying to explain important area of study permit application that most people to know about but it is totally wrong and incorrect to say "even if he goes to shiloh at cannan land and pray day and night, it cant solve it." My brother don't underestimate the power of prayer and what God can do, for with God, nothing is imposible.

i am not here to battle words with any1. I speak facts and from experience amongst my friends who are in canada already. If you noted my ending statement i said i was speaking relatively to the concern about the documents listed . Ask people on this thread that if u r idle for a long time/unexplained gaps and you apply for visa..i repeat it again you MUST BE REFUSED on "PURPOSE OF VISIT" and its accomplice. Last month i spoke against about using maple edu.canada agents and 2 people on this thread who used them and i wldnt want to mention their Monikers have been denied.i dont say nonsense or what i don't know i speak facts as i have mastered the Canada study visa system.moreover my close friend used MAPLE EDU.CANADA,paid almost N600k to them and was denied visa last 2months,their family cried wella. I was the one that helped him apply for his GCMS note and the VO noted program inconsistency as the sole reason for refusal.i dont say rubbish here.if that guy above can be sincere,if he has long gap without covering it/unexplained,he won't get this visa.im not here to sugarcoat words..this is from experience which i have never seen any1 overcome even if he goes to shiloh at cannan land and pray day and night. It can't solve it.moreover with the documents the guy listed i never knew he has submitted,i thought he was asking for review so he will proceed to submitting, that has why i made those comments to cater for any long gap if he has one since i don't know when he finished service.

Let me set the facts straight so you understand...

Okay with my very low CGPA I applied for a PGD program. The school got back to me and offered me other options. Their reason was, they were not offering PGD in that school year I applied for. I contacted the school and "a guy (I also met him in person later when I moved here)" spoke to me and advised me that System Science was suitable for my grade. EBT was part of the programs that were offered. I opted for System Science which I'm currently studying and in my second year.
hello, I sent you a pm. Would like to confirm a few things from you if u dont mind. Thanks

You may wanna wait to graduate and get your PGWP, then apply for OWP not Visiting visa oo for your husband. I was in your shoes on this.

Hello,

Good day.

Please am an International student studying Postgraduate diploma in Canada (one year course) am presently in final term(2nd).

I wasn't married while applying for study permit but now am married and I have even changed my name to my husband name in canada.

I want to bring my husband to Canada, can we apply for OWP or visiting visa? If visiting visa, what will be the content of Invitation letter and other supporting documents?

Thanks so much.

I understand. You won't feel that big difference in the rates when you pay for application fees but when you pay your huge tuition fees. What's the way out? Can't we get dollars from other sane African countries? I won't mind going there to get dollars at cheaper rate.

8 months ago,tuition fees of $15000 was 15000*155 = 2325000.
Now,tution fee of $15000 will be 15000*230= 3450000

Just imagine the difference.

ATM(online)
I think it's the same with form A since there is no more fixed rate. Price is now determined by the market

Hi House,

I need a fresh view on proof of funds, am applying for a study permit next month(August), i listed myself as sponsor and i made deposits installmentally to my bank account from April till June with over 29,000 CAD(deposits of 3,300 CAD/3 times per week for 3 months), during the same period using the same bank account i paid 7800 CAD for the 1st term tuition as required by the school . the transaction details of my deposits are mostly generic and getting the source from the transaction detials is unlikely, since i made money mostly on freelance jobs that pays by cash and without contracts. I’d like to know if my bank account as described is tenable as my proof of funds. Thanks

You will still need to provide proof of source of the funds in your account.

You can write a separate letter to CIC explaining the nature of your work. And if you can get attestations from previous clients, it will go along way.

Am not saying you should go and forge receipt oh....buh don't you think it will be better if you produce a receipt book ? And then write receipt for previous clients.

Then you can submit the receipts of the jobs you have done alongside your other financial documents just to prove that indeed you have been working as freelancer.

It won't cost you much to have a receipt printed for you.

Me am not telling you to lie o or to forge documents o before oga justwise will come for my a** grin
