Let me write mine too. But I'm not a fan of writing long essays. Anyway here is my story so far.
I came to Germany as everyone else and decided to learn the language first, during this period the kind of jobs i did were just the normal "Umzugshilfe" which literally is relocation assistance kind of work. I did this job because I was paid in cash, no giving of bank details and no tax whatsoever. Take note, if you are not strong enough, don't try this job. The last job i did nearly broke my spine after moving household stuffs from a second floor apartment to a third floor apartment without lifts and with a narrow stairs, that was what broke the last straw in me.
Meanwhile, I was earning 100€ monthly, if you ask me from where, i can't write that here. But it was legal and had all my records on it. So, the other job was just a side job which wasn't regular but I earned at least 50€ per day and the most i have earned was 100€ for 3hrs, thar was from the last job.

After my language exams my studies began, I was able to express my self to most of my profs in German and they were amazed as to how fluent i was in the language within a short period of time. This created an opportunity for me and I got a HIWI contract, my duty was translating a part of the University's' site to English. This was a turning point in my life. I worked directly from home at my convenience which gave me flexibility. Although it is always good working from home, but you need a high level of discipline if you want to achieve maximum work time. This job gave me the opportunity to play around TYPO3 and now i am good working with it. It is already on my CV..lol.

Before my contract expired, I got another offer to work in another Faculty as a computer technician and text corrector. my job details was simple, format bible text in office or latex and ensure all PC and projectors are working efficiently. I had to put the job on hold till August, this has been my work experience so far.
Meanwhile, I have also worked in a logistic factory for two weeks, earned some hard cash but the pain afterwards is a story for another day. I have not worked in the kitchen despite reading lots of adverts, most of my German friends work in a bar or club or restaurant. So its no big deal working in the Gastronomiebranche.

Then go to your school and request for the original result. If you finished secondary school recently, it may not be ready. The only alternative is for you to go to WAEC office at Yaba, Lagos and request that they send your official WAEC result on your behalf. WAEC usually charges a fee (I cannot remember the specific amount) for doing that and also for courier.

My interview was on Tuesday and l thank God for the grace, opportunity and how well went.

I boarded a bus of One-chance people at Ojota while going around 5am. They took my phone and all the money I have. By God's grace they didn't see the 17k, my Visa fee, I put in envelope with my docs inside my bag and gave me back the bag after searching it. They finally gave me 2k for tp. I had to borrow at the embassy to complete the 17k to 19k.

My study is for MSc. The yellow man was just barking. Just ensure you go with 3 photo passport and all your docs having 2 copies.

No one wrote test but some wrote motivation letter. It depends on the corner you went in to submit your docs. The guy that interviewed us,who was in door no.1, didn't ask us to.

The interview questions are same with what others have dropped here.
Mine were how you found the school, the docs I submitted during app for admission, why the school and course, why Germany, what to do with the course after study(3 times in 3 different ways, so ensure you give same ans), my position and how many we're in the family, my sponsor and what they do, any of my siblings schooling abroad and why the country, my education from primary with year and my activities after school till now, my course description, duration and subjects to be taken, cities in same state I'm going, how I'm preparing for the study, etc

Ensure you know why the course, the city, why and about Germany, and what to do after study.

They type these things, which makes the interview to take up to 1hr, so ensure you repeat yourself so he/she types exactly what you want the visa ctte or sth abroad to see cos the decision is not taken only by the interviewers. Be calm; it is about you speaking while they type cos they occasionally look at you.

And you may do yourself good by eating before going for the interview cos some people were yet to be interviewed around 3pm.

I heard of one Nigerian that was chokehold to death at d Frankfurt airport like 4 yrs ago but that's just random. Police no dey even carry gun for here sef. I can count d number of times I av seen them with guns.

Police wey dey even provide escort for people protesting and causing aluta. Abeg German police no get your time. I even saw one announcing via dia car public address system that dey will arrest a driver for parking in a disabled spot last week.

Yeah, sure. Send the person to your school with a letter of authorization and copies of your statement of result and testimonial. If it was a private school, some request that you do a clearance to prove that you don't owe. If you have copies of your receipt you may send them too. However, making a contact with a staff member of the school, if possible, will be highly beneficial for you.

There is this Igbo proverb I learnt back in the days from reading chinua Achebe's books about a certain bird that has learnt to fly without perching bcus the hunter had learnt to shot without missing.

This proverb is now very applicable to German train tickets controllers who av now deviced new means to catch schwarzfahren. They no longer search in moving trains like before again cus peeps without tickets just come down at d nearest stops only to board another underground train.
