HOWEVER, the real question is - to what extent are YOU ready to do your part (taxes) to have a working system?

A national "system" can not function effectively without taxes. For instance, I am taxed at a rate of 25% for a portion of my income, and 39% for another portion.

So for every $1,000 I earn, about 60% is taxed at 25% and about 40% taxed at 39%.
Therefore, $1,000 becomes $694 after taxes.

This is the reality of living within a system that works. NO ONE likes it, but it's a necessary evil.

That said, if the Nigerian Inland Revenue really starts to crack down on Nigerians like yourself to pay taxes on practically every dime, what would be your response?

Messi is too expensive for that age abeg. Use that money to get 3 good player for nurturing, say 1 defender, midfielder n a Striker. Then, Chelsea wil hav been better again, instead of using that huge money for only one outdated or over used player who might even go to jail in Spain no one know yet. He never evade tax. He never do any paper work or transact business with anybody

once a criminal is everly a criminal... anyway, paying huge on a 29 yr old player isnt a wise decision to make no matter how good he his and if i may recall i thought chelsea lay down a rule that once you are 30 there will be no renewal of contract and also such a player will need to leave the club
