Sometimes 2008 mum who attends The Ap.....c church was accused of witch craft ( her friend who is in the same line of business with her was diagnosed of stomach ulcer with so much pains) during one of their fasting service, prophecy was said through one of the church members who said the woman's pain is caused by her best friend whom they do business together. That she conspired with the woman's In-laws to bewitch her. The whole church rose against mum that she is the one bewitching the woman. Right from that day, mum has been crying day and night. Though she was ridiculed sometimes. I have always tried my best to encourage her but all to no avail. 2yrs ago I noticed she was virtually angry with everyone that comes her way both children and adult, young and old.
The greatest fear I have now is that she is saying and behaving abnormally eg any where or time people gather to talk, she will go and abuse them that they are talking about her, if people laugh even inside their houses she will still abuse them, she also complains about the young boys and girls that they do hide to snap her picture when she is dressing inside the house and be watching it and downloading among themselves. 2 days ago she woke up 12midnight crying and praying in her room. Later she started moving up and down in the house, I was so scared as she couldn't tell me anything, I thought she wanted to kill herself, I couldn't sleep throughout. The next day one of my neighbours complained that mum promised to pour his younger brother acid. When I asked her, she said they were watching and monitoring her through their phone. How? She said they are using a phone that is like satellite, that ones someone is with that phone, they can monitor actions even from a far distant. I tried to let her know there's nothing like that but she wouldn't listen. Moreover where this boy's were sitting is far from my house. When I tried to let her know that what is doing is wrong, she even accused me of going to download her nude pictures from somebody she abused meanwhile I only went there to plead the woman.

Reasons for fear:
1- She takes care of my children including my baby of 2 months
2- I'm afraid she might commit suicide(she ones told me she had sometimes planned taking her life)
3- I'm suspecting she is having a psychological or mental issue.

How Do I talk to her to free herself from this thinking, how do I talk her into seeking medical help and where do I even get the medical help. I am her only hope as siblings have no job and are young, uncles and aunties are running away from her because of the stigma, dad is late. Av completed official documents of transfer to join my husband in another state which means she'll be alone. Already she is not in terms with almost everyone in the compound.

Shame. The Religion Jesus Christ taught delivered all, the oppressed and oppressor alike. But in naija, religion casts aside and destroys anyone in hope of gaining publicity

Sorry About the issue. Your mum is not a witch. I believe she suffering from psychological trauma. Take her away from that environment to another place and if possible see a psychologist or a good councellor

I'm sorry but your mum Is hallucinating and it was borne out of her past ugly experiences, bottled up emotions, anxiety, depression.

Her mind can no longer condone the random thoughts that flashes through her mind and repressive thoughts over time.

The part of the brain for this is the Cerebrum context, its for deep thought and consciousness.

You mum needs a professional to restore her mind back to equilibrium functioning. Take her to see a psychologist, counsellor or a psychatric doctor. They know what to do. Meantime, The best antitode to her mild hallucination is giving her anti-depressant drugs to calm her nerves. And also also get her sleep enhancers drugs NOT Tylenol.

Make her switch environment often and take her places new, QUIT ANYTHING RELIGION with her not ever going to church, it would bring back old ugly memories. Make her watch comedy movies to laugh or you often joke with her.

My whole epistle in one sentence is - "Always engage her mind to be busy" otherwise, she would get all up in herself trying to put pieces of puzzle together that don't exist.

Trust me she would be fine as you try those aforementioned therapy.

Dont you know that took her to depression.
Her family, friends and well wishers turned their back against her.

If you were in her shoes how would you feel.

This is one of the reasons I'm starting to dislike Christianity.

I will advice u take her to a psychiatrist home in any federal Medical Center. pls note not only mad pple visit psychiatrist home,i have a friend who is a psychiatrist nurse and has seen cases like this in their female ward. may the almighty find a lasting solution to ur problem.ameen

I actually know its hallucination, I told her that thinking is affecting her but she wouldn't agree and insist those people she attacks look for her trouble. I do talk her into going to church as she stopped attending church about 5yrs ago, I think I will stop bothering her about that. She is hypertensive, diabetic and asthmatic I spend nothing less than 15k for drugs every month with my meager pay with this included hmmmmmmm only God will help me.

Truth is, people with such mental challenge never admit, they have problem, they see themselves as being normal

2- Never make the mistake of talking church, talkless of taking her to church again, church started her problem and could worsten it.

3- Yes, Hypertension/HPB is also a symtom of hallucination.

4- Diabetic? Take her to go check her FSB (fasting blood sugar), if she's 110 and above, she has type 2 diabetes and get her on med which I suggest BITTER LEAF, which works wonder in reversing blood sugar, make it a routine for her and fresh bitter leaf, No refrigerating.

5- Asthmatic? Get her drugs and ensure he inhaler is not far fetched when ever she needs it.

God will not do nothing if you don't do it. Sorry to talking about your faith, but I'm more concerned about a life than a God so don't also start same hallucination about a God which isn't real.
