I really appreciate your taking out time to read and ur opinions too.

I have been apprehensive about lying too cos death certificate can eaaily contradict me so I wud just take it out and say not in about that period since there's now a near future employment letter I would hope dey would just overlook the work gap period.i would take out the picture too.

SCB is standard chartered bank.

Pls wot more can I do to make it appear less desperate.

Hoping to read from you again.

Many thanks.

I think you're good to go.

Just remove the cancer/death issue and the the picture etc.

Look for something else to fill the gap.

Like I said earlier you've packaged a nice application.

Seems you have lots of documents..... It's a good thing though...at least you need documents to back up your claims.

Best of luck ma grin

i have a friend that studied computer science, has some IT training certifications and was going for this same program of yours in george brown college, i dont know the reason why the VO said on his GCMS NOTE "that the program is inconsistent with his educational and employment background and the VO said too unclear why applicant is going to canada for such course when similar program is available in college level in his home country which made his SP refused.madame try as much as possible to relate this program well cos i see this course is a new program introduced in canada and it's George Brown College that offers it,if u did read the faculty profile well, so that the VO wldnt think it's all this social sciences course.if you can print the program profile and attach it to your application so that the VO will know its an IT related course.i am saying this because of what has happened to my friend.moreover you application covers the every aspect a VO wld want to find excuse but find another activity than this ill health issue.if you cld make this application simple and clear,it would be better than make the VO crack his/her brain in understanding somethings they have just few minutes to take this decision cos other applications plenty for them table.i am ur intended canada school mate too. Forget notarizing! To me it's overdoing
Noo! Put something for that gap there don't ignore and say they will understand because they might figure it out as" current unemployment situation" and refuse you.
Find something meaningful and fix in that gap

Thanks so much for the feedback.I would surely include the program outline from there website.would also do more thinking to look for a beta way to present the unemployment period.

The proof of funds section.pls what's your opinion.do you think its too detailed?

Proof of funds section is very okay.

Actually that is the area where the VOs pay attention to after sorting out your purpose of visit. Also your proof of funds section says alot about your socioeconomic background and I am fairly certain that these VOs are sometimes curious to know applicant's socioeconomic background to know if you would return to your country after your program. So provide provide sufficient verifiable documents.

Ensure to give brief explanation in your SOP regarding the documents you submitted for proof of funds. This will go along way to assist the VO in understanding the documents.

my question is are the funds available in ur bank account to cater for ur 1yr financial needs including tuition in canada or are some of it financial investment? You should have enough finances in ur bank account to cater 4ur program,to me if i did understand ur proof of funds, some of it are financial investment which a not already cash at bank account.

She claimed that she has investment bond certificate of about 9m which she can liquidate anytime with about 13% interest rate. That's what informed my conclusion that she's probably buoyant financially. Also she claims to maintain other bank accounts with fairly huge balance in them.

@Siga, please I need your help. I have asked this question many times and no one seems to have an answer for me. I applied through the paper route and all I have been able to do Ever since is to track my application, but I later found out that a friend of mine who did online has MyCIC account which he logs into and sees a table clearly describing his application status - open, medical request not needed yet, interview bla bla bla. I can't do same for my application. Please I Need your help. Thanks for your time

You need to keep your application simple.

I think it's a bit clumsy.

You have a nice profile but you seem to have complicated things.

You do not need to attach a picture showing you're sober or mourning.....seems desperate. If you are applying via paper route vfs won't accept or collect the pictures from you.

Though your undergrad discipline is in French but since you have a six years experience in IT..... I think you're good to go...

I think you need to find another explanation for your study/employment gap between August 2015 and now. Don't lie about when your mom died....these CIC people have records and this might backfire in the nearest future when you're applying for work permit or PR.

Your travel history is good enough but it's just a bonus to your application.... The real issue for study permit/trv is proof of financial capacity, home tie and purpose of visit.

The financial documents you intend to submit.... I really don't understand them particularly SCB I wouldn't know what that means but they seem cogent enough.

It's good that your husband and daughter will not be applying with you....you can use them as home tie.

You actually have a nice profile but please and please DO NOT LIE IN YOUR APPLICATION ESPECIALLY ABOUT THINGS THAY CAN/MAY BE VERIFIED BY CIC IN THE NEAREST FUTURE. (Death certificate cannot be issued twice and you don't know if CIC will request for it in the future)

Please try as much as possible to keep your application simple and unambiguous.

You seem to know much about travelling to Canada as you've attempted to fix/answer any query or question a VO might have. However, you profile screams desperation.

This is my humble opinion and does and not necessarily reflect the views and opinions of Canadian Visa Officer. grin
Yemdogg, been making sense since 1945. My sentiments exactly

Hi Prince, When I applied my statement of account was less than 100,000. in fact to be factual it was around 71, 000 but I had a good sponsor and a well constructed Letter of sponsorship from my sponsor. I think the focus should be on how you write your letter of sponsorship to convince the VO. This is just mine opinion and not the mind of the VO. And less i forget to add, by God's grace my app was approved
princeade09:
Greetings to everyone in the house. I have a question that could benefit many people here, any opinion is welcome.

Somebody is working somewhere and he is paid monthly though the salary is low due to the fact that it is a form of family work. Therefore the person has a bank account which reflects some monthly fixed savings. So at the time of application, the person's account is very very low, let say the person has no money available in the account, do you think the person could be denied visa though the sponsor is financially good and all the documents from the sponsor is good and ready, do you think the person could be denied visa on the ground of personal asset and financial status?

Just speak out your mind, any opinion is important

I have a certificate from the bank showing the investment which can be liquidated anytime.everything I listed in proof of funds sections have verifiable documents issued from the bank to accompany them.

That's why I said earlier that ensure to explain the documents you submitted.

My advice is for you to write a separate letter explaining and adumbrating further on your financial documents.

In the letter you should highlight the documents you submitted and the purpose to which they serve.

Here is an example; attached to my application for study permit is a bond investment certificate worth 9m+ with SCB bank which was debited from my account with the said bank on so so date....(this is reflected in my statement of account from SCB bank) this investment bond can be liquidated anytime with a 13% interest rate.

Also it would be better if you get a separate letter from your banker.... Let them explain in details the investment bond arrangement. I think the VO would be more inclined to believe your banker. But if you're unable to get such letter from your banker, ensure to write a letter explaining the investment bond.

Your other accounts don't really need much explanation as they speak for themselves. "Res Ipsa Loquito" grin

Also try to make a checklist of the documents you submitted in your sop.
