Got admitted to western against September too. Are you going to consider western after successful TRV. I'm also going for Meng Civil & Environmental Engineering (structural engineering option). lets discuss bro.
yea, Western University has better advantages, tuition is more cheaper than Ryerson University that I used to apply for trv. Have you sent your official transcript to Western. Which school did you finally use to apply for trv.

I think dat we are omitting something here. Is it not the processing time given on the website as at the time one applied or the one there now that we would use to monitor the application? For those that submitted by paper, transit time from and to Accra from lag should also be considered
@GrandC.. Doest it mean when we apply at vfs,the mail we get that same-day saying our application have been forwarded to canada visa bla bla...does it also imply it has left vfs VAC office that day?I think also that the new processing time should be considered cos i feel it's being updated as treated and despatched applications are gradually reducing

well I applied for HR management and read Law ...there are lots of articles written on law after HR and vis,it's been beneficial to those who did law after HR .HR is all about knowing laws that govern employers and employee (rights,liability,employment....etc) So yes d person could go for employment law, which is greatly associated with Human resources...HR is all about IQ ,knowing how to deal with people and d law behind working in d HR department..So yes and yes ...A law program can go a long way to help a HR graduate in top list .

First and foremost, law cut across other fields; medicine, human resources, aviation, maritime, taxation you name it.

Flowing from the above as a human resources professional or a corporate lawyer, you are supposed to be familiar with wide array of regulatory and statutory authorities and ensure compliance with employment laws, employee compensation laws, government contracts and wage laws.

Therefore as lawyer your duty in any organisation is very paramount particularly in the HR department.

Furthermore, your training in company law, corporate law practice, commercial law, labour law/industrial law has given you necessary foundations to thrive well during your program in HR and subsequently in your career in corporate law practice and HR.

He can also add that he did his internship or worked in a corporate law firm that provide consultancy services to several companies and firm in the HR sector.

As corporate lawyers one of your duty in any organisation or company is formulate best practices policies to create a good working environment for employees and to also ensure maximum productivity thereby benefiting the employers.

Common matters of concern for HR and law includes; non competition agreement, substance abuse and drug testing / anti doping test laws, sexual harassment in work place laws etc.

He/she should be able to relate law to HR..... Actually the relationship between law and HR is inexhaustible.

Law is wide and can be related to almost anything.....if you do your homework well grin

Also he should state that his pursuit of HR is not to change his/her career path as a legal practitioner but rather it is to supplement and widen his/her scope of practice as a corporate lawyer.

Finally his major function as a corporate lawyer is to ensure compliance with variety of local, state and federal laws and to ensure at all time that an organisation or company escapes or avoids liabilities arising from HR while protecting the interest of employees at the same time.

And yes I know of lady who has gotten trv with HR and her undergrad discipline was law.
Bla bla grin

You can use case enquiry for verification of status, replacement and amendment of documents among other things.

It's quite easy.

You're to fill a form and then there is a box provided for your to write a letter to CIC explaining why the documents is necessary for your application and that such documents may affect the outcome of your application. Not more than 1500 words

Yes @yemdogg

I have a certificate from the bank showing the investment which can be liquidated anytime.everything I listed in proof of funds sections have verifiable documents issued from the bank to accompany them.its an investment so its not showing in the account balance it wud only reflect once its been liquidated which I can do at anytime.i also directed them to the exact page on my SOA where d bank debited me 9M last year to buy this investment upon my request.must d value be shown in d account balance.

I deeply appreciate ur insights.

let me see if i can add to michV and yemdogg excellent advices. Its not too good telling VO that you can liquidate the investment anytime. I think it will make sense if you can instruct your bank to write a letter talking about the date you have agreed to liquidate the investment plan. Let the date be around the time you will be paying your fees or move to canada. This will make VO believe that the cash is readily available.
I discovered you have many sources of fund. Its better to create a spreadsheet/table detailing all your sources of fund and the amount. You will also state your expenses in canada too. You can then deduct total your expenses from the total available. This will make it more clearer to VO that you have enough fund for your program in canada since you are not submitting only one financial document.

Also you can volunteer in an organization to work with them without pay or with a little pay while you are waiting to start your program in canada. VO does not like idle applicants.

Let me know if there is anything you want me to clarify.

Your points are valid.... And I think i earlier advised her to get a letter from her bank with respect the investment bond. It will go a long way.
Also your idea of spreadsheet is quite brilliant.... I actually added a spreadsheet to my application too.

Nice one bro !
