OP, what I did was sell my phone and got a Nokia Torchlight for 2 months. While I was still in school, before exam period I sell off my phone. I'm always good at fighting addiction.

BTW, you can monetize phone pressing.

Its really getting out of hand...

I think phone has really, done more harm to me than good.

It makes me procrastinate... What i will have to do now, i will be tinking of leaving it the next day just to surf on NL.

I makes me lazy... All the time phone.. No time to do other thing, even if i get, i go just receive notification from fb, nl... Hia dere i go no more chores..

Makes me depressed if my ba3 is down, e go just be like say world don end...

Lastly, am currently suffering from finger pain... Too much pim pim pim, my finger they hot like fire...

Some times i go give my friends d phone in other to engage something in one way or thee other... But after dem return am.. Haa.. I go calculate all those days wey i neva press join, come see phone destroyer

I know the situation you're in OP, discipline is the only way to curb this menace. There are also apps that can help you discipline yourself.

Sincerely it's not funny...my wife is even now jealous of my phone. She refers to it as her rival I spend most time with my phone than I do with my wife and kids...

Im also addicted to smartphone. I notice my during this my annual leave period when work start by 7pm tworr. I will be busy helping out the sick and weak. No more phone addict. Mine the cost of data is making me sick. I cannot buy good cloths i want to go for the latest data plan and it costing thousands of naira. I need to stop. I have discussed it with my wife. I understand ur cry but work towards reducing it and pray to God about it. Thanks for sharing the problems u have help me also. Im followin the comment of people to knw where to apply mine.

The solution is for you to be determined to let go of your phone, even though by the virtue of the jobs I'm into, being on online is Paramount for me, but for real I have my days off the internet and all social media gadgets.....

Have you heard of EMF?
Most electronic gadgets emits this and it's bad for the body.

More so if the reason you are online is not to better your financial prospect now or in future..... I dare say as a Nairalander for you to have a re-think.

1, buy a less powerful phone
2, limit d amount of data you buy
3, off ur data as much as possible
4, Google is ur friend
5, delete time consuming apps
6, control d no of hrs u spend on ur fone some apps will help u achieve ds. Set a password dat u can't remember to restrict usage. See no4
