As a student oversea....you do not have to worry about light, feeding, water, etc.

Your school will even give you a lot of help (not expo!) and ask everytime whether you are enjoying your stay in the school, or not.

And the lecture theaters and libraries are not only well equipped, they are very very comfy.

Plus...internet is free in the school premises...and na high speed (Not this kind Glo campus booster or hairtell.).

And the Lecturer is your friend (No, really!).

That is why any student that fails in a UK or US or European uni....most of the time, that one has already made up his mind to fail

some lecture rooms be like Governors office

my bro was given a tastefully furnished office at a post graduate student and part time worker

Nigeria far from devt

If every Nigerian who made 1st class in UK universities this month should make FP, it will fill FP for 5 consecutive days. Nigerians are getting 1st class like pure water in the UK.

Of course...in fairness to Nigerian universities, Western universities have access to the kind of funding Nigerian universities can only dream of.

One way they get funding is by doing world class research, which attracts funding to the tune of millions of dollars in many foreign universities.

Nigerian universities cannot do such research because they are broke....and as a result they cannot attract funds because they cannot do high class research because they are broke.(Of course...there are many other reasons why Nigerian universities are in a bad state, funding aside).

When you are in a situation where you do not have to worry about anything but study.....how won't you achieve first class?

I can bet 100%of the school fees came from our oil money in the name os state bursary/scholarship. His parent's one naira never went into school fees. Yet the multitude of children from where the oil money is coming dont have that opportunity.

Northerners don vex o.. I remember southerners always flaunting their stand-out academic achievers here and then ask 'what good can come from the north'? I guess we are seeing the good nw cos for the past few days it's been the northerners breaking grounds academically. Kudos to them.
yh they are trying but still never smell our yansh. talk of an average northerner nkor? that will be 20-1

I can also bet that he applied for the myriads of scholarships that are available for international students in the UK.

And in many instances, UK universities will give you scholarship/funding advice.

Plus, he most likely had a job while there (Tier 4 visas allow you to work for 20 hours a week while you are in the UK).

So, he may not have used a drop of our oil money.

Besides, when our governors sit down and chop our money from 13% et al , instead of using it to develop our schools and technical colleges, how can we have students who are ready to do wonders in the UK? Or can you enter a good university without good preparation from primary and secondary schools....which are a mess in the Niger Delta because Mr Governor since 1999 has been chopping money and spending it arming millitants?

Honestly, we Nigerians do not know our enemies.

HAVE YOU HEARD
=================
.
Abdullahi Bala, 25yr old son of former federal capitñal territory minister, Bala Mohammed, just bought a $3m (N900m) 2016 McLaren super Luxury car, for racing and stunts.
.
Abdullahi Bala, is the president of CORSA motor Sports Club of Abuja. CORSA is an umbrella body of wealthy Nigerians with robust interest in car racing and vehicle stunt performances.
.
The car though attracts an import duty of N120m, but the bobo played a fast one with some disgruntled elements in the customs and cleared the car with about N300,000. But unknown to them, things have changed. So the car has been impounded, and bobo was nabbed, and later released on bail to go and get the balance of N119.7m, before he begins to explain to us how he got such money.
.
You see? A boy of 25yrs without any known means of livelihood, bought a car of N900m, just N100m short of N1b, but you that cannot afford T fare from Ikeja to CMS to go and submit your CV, is daily on social media, supporting them for looting this country dry and flaunting it on your face. Shame on those that support Treasury Looters.

No bro! The fees came from his parents hard work and sweat. Not everyone who schools abroad has their fees paid with Nigeria's money. Plenty hard working parents send their kids to get the best education

Funny statement! You assume too much and mixed some lies into your rants.

Search the internet very well for some of the scholarships that oil producing areas are enjoying rather than misyarning because of likes.

PS: It never hurts to just congratulate people that are successful and move on!

Not the notherners, the average northerner in school is there with bursary even if the father is a politician the government will still be paying the bursary. This is what has been happening in Nigeria while the average southerner is been wholly financed from the parents pockets. Go and investigate for yourself. Even while there they hardly work because they dont need to they have all the money they need so they can focus on their studies while the southerner have to work and school to augment their income.

It is a very terrible situation we find ourselves in that country, i am even surprised sometimes how we manage to still remain with all these things. At least you saw federal government building almajiri schools, what on earth does that mean yet they wont build schools for the indigent students aspriring to go to school in the south.
