May God have mercy on dis great country. How can smbody say 30 divide by HALF(1/2 or 0.5) wil give him or her 15. Does it mean some people (graduates and non-graduates alike) can't differentiate btw 2 and 1/2? Dat is SERIOUS! If u r given two oranges and u r given half of an orange, could both situations be Dsame? Back to d question of the moment, IF YOU DIVIDE 30 BY HALF (1/2), U WOULD HAVE 60. ADD TEN TO 60 I.e 60+10=70. If i were to be a class teach, i might allow those u said d answer is 12 to just write down d correction without necessarily "chopping cane" but those dat said and are stil saying d answer is 15, mehn..., they must collect smtin! Seriously speaking, those that said 12, maybe wat they did was: (30/15={2} 2+10=12). But biko, there is difference between "half" and "its half".
