mbaeke1:Bro, south south and south east should not smile over it. North that hardly issue certificate of occupancy when you bring out your hard earned money to buy their land wants to collect your land freely through government policy, even when they know you have limited land. bro, there is something behind this. |

This is democracy at play. I understand why some of the SS/SE lawmakers exercised this publicity stunt. At the end of the day, my best guess is that the bill will pass with a narrow margin and this action by the SS/SE lawmakers will give them deniability. If politicians, from certain areas, who are less prone to be swayed by the usual consideration, the least of which is the almighty dallar, issued this statement, then proponents of the bill should be very concerned. |

obiak4:The lands in Nigeria belong to the States. That aside, what alternative solution do you suggest? Almost all the States in Nigeria have grazing areas. The land Use Act provides for it already. But this federal effort is to consolidate and uniformize all the grazing areas into clear identifiable zones. besides the grazing areas are not exclusive to Fulanis. |

nduchucks:It requires 66.7% of Lawmakers to be passed into Law and not 50.1% As it stands, the Middle belt, Southwest, Southeast and South-South are unanimously against it hence the 50.1% is not possible let alone 66.7% required by our constitution. The bill is dead on arrival and even Kwankwaso knew it but wants to use it to play Northern local politics as he did in Lagos State, bailing and re-settling Mile 12 murderers instead of allowing justice to take its course. |

The earlier diz lawmakers should come together and forget SE/SS divide and rule strategy, the better for them..... SE and SS are one and should join hand in making sure their people are safe from the supporter of APC dullard of daura |

MadamExcellency:Please try not to misinform your readers by posting blatantly incorrect information. A bill does not require two-thirds majority vote to become law. Per the constitution, if the bill is passed in the form it was sent to the President by two-third majority, the bill will automatically become law even without the President's signature. No one expect this bill to be passed by two-third majority. |
