I will support this if only they will support business estate bill for Igbos in Nigeria where every states in the North will map out 30% of their total land and allocate them to Igbos for their perpetual business in the land.

And Igbos and other southerners shall have full right over the lands and call the land anything they feel like, such as Akabo, Obulu ulor, Esien udim, Akwa mmiri, Opobo ala n'elu, Ugwu calabar, Obi okirika, Dukubo's land etc. and no Muslim shall have right to erect any mosque of any form on these lands. Igbos and other southerners will forever be the owners of the lands.

According to the land use act which was never amended fg own all land in Nigeria
1. The govt, have indirectly Take your land and give it to the fulani
Which Land Use Act do you speak of?
The one of 1978 signed by Obasanjo?
The one under which the state governors have been signing Cs of O?
Or are the Cs of O in your state signed by FG?

obiak4:
2, it should be stopped by all nigerians who have the interest of nigeria at heart

Am not an alarmist but nigerians should GOOGLE the interview granted to the sultana of sokoto the late Amhadu bello also there is a VIDEO of the interview on youtube
Buhari is trying to inplement that agenda nothing more nothing less
So did you draw the attention of Obasanjo and Jonathan to the interview when they were president?
Is Buhari working with the legislature
You guys just want to use propaganda to ensure that nothing is done by this government
By the way, I hope you read that an Enugu Monarch collects money from the herdsmen to enable them graze
Meaning the monarchs, not the FG, are giving grazing rights
http://www.dailytrust.com.ng/news/general/-enugu-traditional-rulers-collect-grazing-money-from-herdsmen/155017.html

The Transition Committee Chairman of Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State ,Chief Cornel Onwubuya, on Monday told the Judicial Panel of Inquiry on Nimbo Killings that some traditional rulers collected money from the herdsmen to permit them graze their cattle in some communities within the Uzo-Uwani council area, of Enugu state.

If you've stayed in the north for a very long time you will know that Northerners are devils in human flesh. There must be interior motive behind this their grazing bill. trust me.

The cause of violence was traced to pressures on land like overgrazing on farmlands. As responsible leaders should, a solution ought to be proffered. Cattle from the North feed the South. The cattle rearers mostly transport their cattle on foot to the South. These cattle have to eat on their way b down South.

Wouldn't it then be unwise to resist the only reasonable solution on the basis of tribalism? If there are no grazing areas delineated for that ppurpose, wouldn't the violence continue?
Is it only in Nigeria that people rear and eat cows? The terrorists F00lanis can keep their bloody cows.

Bro, south south and south east should not smile over it. North that hardly issue certificate of occupancy when you bring out your hard earned money to buy their land wants to collect your land freely through government policy, even when they know you have limited land. bro, there is something behind this.

Our governors (Mimiko, Fayose, Ajimobi, Ambode) have this rejected grazing bill. I think Amosun does too but I am not sure of Aregbesola.

I hope our lawmakers will toe the same line too.

This is democracy at play. I understand why some of the SS/SE lawmakers exercised this publicity stunt. At the end of the day, my best guess is that the bill will pass with a narrow margin and this action by the SS/SE lawmakers will give them deniability.

If politicians, from certain areas, who are less prone to be swayed by the usual consideration, the least of which is the almighty dallar, issued this statement, then proponents of the bill should be very concerned.

The lands in Nigeria belong to the States. That aside, what alternative solution do you suggest?

Almost all the States in Nigeria have grazing areas. The land Use Act provides for it already. But this federal effort is to consolidate and uniformize all the grazing areas into clear identifiable zones. besides the grazing areas are not exclusive to Fulanis.

It requires 66.7% of Lawmakers to be passed into Law and not 50.1%

As it stands, the Middle belt, Southwest, Southeast and South-South are unanimously against it hence the 50.1% is not possible let alone 66.7% required by our constitution.

The bill is dead on arrival and even Kwankwaso knew it but wants to use it to play Northern local politics as he did in Lagos State, bailing and re-settling Mile 12 murderers instead of allowing justice to take its course.

Please try not to misinform your readers by posting blatantly incorrect information.

A bill does not require two-thirds majority vote to become law. Per the constitution, if the bill is passed in the form it was sent to the President by two-third majority, the bill will automatically become law even without the President's signature.

No one expect this bill to be passed by two-third majority.
