You guys are here, happy to see you guys here.

OlowoB, hope you can still remember the topic we both discussed, about me paying tuition around July, if it's not too late cause Orientation is September and course starts October 3rd/4th then you said it won't be too late.

I just wanna ask, if first week of August is not too late as well cause something came up, and what do you think starting the 28days for statement of acct around that same August (Remember orientation is September 24th/26th and October is course start date).

I need you guys advice on this

Sorry fam, am not enturely sure cause I haven't even applied for mine yet, still prepping for the SAT, nonetheless I think you are probably threading too close to the deadline, the time interval is too close and things might not go as planned. My elder brother did a late entry for his visa application, and his interview date was schedule a day prior to his orientation, for that reason alone he was rejected. In a nutshell, you aren't too late but you are close, you should hasten up.

Hi peeps, please I need some clarifications from experienced gurus here and those that have recently applied for their visas.
I have deposited my maintenance fees in my account and I'm close to the stipulated 28 days now..however I'm a bit confused as the exchange rate had gone up from when I started counting the 28 days. My simple question is which exchange rate will be used by the UKBA. Will it be as at when I started counting or the rate as at when I'll be applying.

Hey bro,how you doing? Paying your tuition around July isn't late. You can process it this July as long as you meet one of the conditions on your offer letter. Check your offer letter and you see a date in which atleast the 1st instalment should be paid to indicate your acceptance. Its not late. Try and see how you can process it ontime. I was at Stanbic IBTC today and they told me they still process Form A. You can go ahead and make your tuition payment but as I mentioned, try and check your offer letter and check when you are expected to make the first instalment so that you don't miss out.
As for the 28days counting, if you start by first week of August, that means by first week of september you should start thinking of visa application. I will also advice u to add atleast 200k or 100k to what you will put for 28days so dat u can consider exchange that is dwindling.
Like OlowoB keeps telling me, do not panic. Just take every advice into consideration and you will surely be done with the processes. Its not easy though.

It will likely be at when you are applying, that's the logical way.

The calculation is the ONANDA rate on the day you apply.

What you actually pay to a bank for pounds may be different!

The normal thing is to book a hotel for one or two nights.
When you get to the school the admissions office or students union will have details of accommodation.
It would not be safe or advisable to arrive at night in central Manchester to stay on the street.
You may wait in train station or possibly airport safe but not very comfortable.

You may be asked by VO where you will stay.

Thanks for the comment. Sounds logical but might mean that some people will have to add more money and start counting all over again. Something tells me to UKBA must have factored in something to avoid this volatility for applicants. Advise needed.

I think that you will find UKBA just state that it is your responsibility to ensure sufficient funds for any contingency.
Calculating to the last Nair will end in tears.

Yeah its possible but like i said earlier, check your offer letter and check when the school requires you to pay atleast 1st installment. The 1st installment is to show that you have accepted the offer from the school. If u pay first week of August, u need to also consider when the bank will process the Form A. It could take 2 weeks. Then from there you will start thinking of the money you have to leave for 28days.

And u also need to know dat in many schools u have to pay one year rent if am not mistaken and its so expensive. So the best is stay in a hotel for about two days then look for a shared apartment

Guys, please I have a few questions:
1. How best can one pay the visa fee? Is it via online payment or is paid at the bank in Naira equivalent
2. As for the 28days counting needed, are weekends included? Or is it strictly 28 working days?

Last date to make payment via CBN- 02/09/2016

Last date for CAS to be issued- 23/09/2016 cheesy

That's for October intake, and my course starts October. What do you guys think about this, still time for me right?? :/

So, that means paying first week of August is cool, also keeping maintenance fee for 28days, there's still time for that as well?

Since your resumption is October, i will say there is time. When keeping your maintenance, please make sure you add additional 200k or 100k incase there is a slight increase in exchange rate. You know the exchange rate cannot be predicted. Atleast you will be on the safe side. Another thing i want to say is try to confirm from your bank if they will grant you the full tuition you want to pay, cos its like there is a limit cos i wasnt granted everything. Just confirm from them before u make payment or you split the payment.

School asked me to pay half tuition first, not full.
And I think bank will allow that as well...
How about that, am I good to go??
