I applied on the 13th April, online application for both my mother and my 8 month daughter and i got a replied from CIC just now that my daughter application was refused for PURPOSE OF VISIT AND FAMILY TIES, while my mum was refused for PURPOSE OF VISIT, TRAVEL HISTORY,PERSONAL ASSETS AND FINANCIAL STATUS, but i was called to undergo medical.

I am going for dual master for MBA and Master in international management. i have seen yesterday that a 8 yrs child was delay with the same reason as my daughter and also a wife and child denial to go with her husband. I think this an issue we need to solve for those affected because i cant imagine my self away from my daughter, but i am been sponsor by my husband.

My sister, i really dont know what to do now. Its going to be hard.

Since I got this job I stopped thinking about this visa thing.... Be like na idleness dey make this visa thing bother person. Am even contemplating weda I'll travel if dey finally grant me, cos this job na highest o. Is there a way u could defer the school and visa acceptance for say like a session? By the way my friend that applied for masters in June 8 was sent medical mail yesterday smiley

Lmao! No be lie oo. Ppl shud keep their mind off CIC. My guy that applied 16th June got a medical mail today. There is nothing like first-in first-out. Applications are being attended to randomly. Mine is 13 weeks plus. I was even given a full funding but no medical yet. I mailed them and they replied that my application is in a queue pending processing. I am not bothered cos it will end in praise and what will be will be. God who started a good work will be faithful to complete it. We don't have to worry. So let's hope for the best.

Hello sister, e go beta. Maybe you could consider relocating to a different Canadian city that has better opportunities for your profession (you probably have already thought about this sha, but just wanted to mention it anyways)? Sometimes taking a bold fresh start in a new city that's a better fit for you and your preferences can be a massive boon to your life!

I once lived in a certain US city that I felt was beginning to ruin my life (no joke), then I moved to a different US city and my quality of life improved by 1000% (I live in the US, not Canada) though my life of course still isn't perfect (and will never be, and I'm not even sure if I'll be happy if my life was close to "perfect" ). But I do definitely get your point that no place is "paradise"... even with all possible amenities and wealth, we still have to face problems since we are primarily psychological beings.

Thanks my sis. I kuku relocated well first time out if province. It was sweet i got money , got a lot of things. I wasnt working for one year when i first came to canada but was living with family so i took the bold step and relocated this is one of the richest towns with great Job opportunities i got a good paying job in 10 days no experience. Although it was God. Double minumum aage pay

The story of my Job na different thing. I wasnt lacking i used money to write my licensing exams which were expensive at the time.
Now things are so hard. Imagine contemplating to buy 11$ rice. The boss is bankrupt and cut my hours. So am just left looking for work and since i cant leave this one here becos half grain is better than no grain its difficult getting in for interviews. I know story shall change soon in Jesus name and ill be comfy again.

I wonder what's happening to applicants going to SASKATCHEWAN. I haven't heard any testimonies from Saskatchewan applicants(be it PhD, MSc, Pgd, pgc, BSc) or ( University of Saskatchewan, University of Regina or Saskatchewan's polytechnic).. Even the people I know that are not on Nairaland and applied to SASKATCHEWAN are yet to hear back.... Did the VO's neglect us or what.
