collinsVP:What do you know about economy, better economy team by Jonathan?. How can a reasonable government be importing petroleum products an essential commodities to run our economy. Don't you know those better economic team failed the nation, they waste all our income on importation and subsidies payment instead of building a refinery to refine petroleum locally. Ask yourself this simple question, what will have happened to our economy if we have stop importing petroleum in the last 5 years out of PDP 16 year's. Imagine we save all the dollars on importation and trillion naira subsidies payment every year into our economy. We don't build industry we don't save during the raining days of Oil boom, see a survival resources from a Germany Bank.

NwaNimo1:our leaders are very dumb and selfish, so economy is down but a cbn director still earns over N3.5m a month, over N150m as gratuity and about N1.5m as monthly pension till death. and there are over 70 agencies earning these unwarranted salaries but yet nobody says anything |

It's usual to see the Federal government blaming all their flaws on someone else......2019 is on the way and I pray God Almighty sustains Nigerians till then. The hardship brought by this Administration is so obvious and I don't see any positive move to end it soon. Instead na travel travel....... |

majekdom2:We don't really need FDIs; what we need is self sustainability. With that there will not be much importation which is the major issue we are having. We are importing everything including petroleum products. FDI will not even come where there is nothing to reap. They came earlier because we were making money from oil which they could easily exploit and go as far as laundering some cash in connivance with Government officials. Right now we have nothing to offer. The solution to our present crisis is diversification which cannot happen overnight. We should have moved towards that over the years but free oil money made us think less about future without oil. That is one advantage of the present pipeline destruction going on in Niger Delta as it will force FG and States to look beyond oil for survival. |

idupaul:Politics of bitterness is one of the major reasons for this quagmire. Our oil production has been cut by half with oil prices equally down meaning we are losing more than 55% of our projected income. You cannot blame Buhari for that. If he wants a quick solution he'd declare war on some sections of the country in order to control oil production. I am sure you will kick against that. |

aaronson:Finance minister is not our problem, we have failed failed failed. The only solution to our problems is to stop importing petroleum products and by refining petroleum locally. Until we stop wasting the little dollar from crude on importing petroleum products an essential commodities. The generator you put on now is using Imported fuel, check all your street how many light is from generator, every car and generator is burning our Dollar away. The petroleum that we can produce locally if our leader are the serious type. For 16 years PDP legalised importation of petroleum products wasting our forex forgetting that this free dollar from crude will one day stop coming. We are paying for the negligence of our leaders from OBJ till date. If PDP has succeed in building a refinery under OBJ and all the subsidies payment in trillion under Jonathan invested into our economy and dollar for importation saved. Believe me Nigeria will not be suffering up to this level even the dollar will not turn to gold now.

Abagworo:Diversification Are you talking farming because when Nigerians talk diversification, all I hear them say is farming. The best diversification we can have now is FDI. Sadly, that may not happen until power is fixed. You are wrong, FDI's is not just a person or a thing. They are investors that feel an environment is good for them to do business. It takes good government policies and forward thinking people to attract FDIS. I ll give you an example - the tobacco business got defunct, OBJ came in was able to sign a deal with BAT. We saw how that created jobs and revenue. It is not a coincidence that likes of MTN, DSTV came in strong. Even the banking sector felt something different. There are still many other defunct institutions that good policies can make functional. Hence, my reason for advocating FDI. Whatever diversification still needs investment but we should stop all these farming noise. Yes, those that have no business in the cities should go farming but it shouldn't be the talk of the government as it concerns generating revenue. |

What is wrong with Emefiele? Why is he talking to the Senate? Is it because our president has ear problem? Does he not know that our senators are busy calling each other dog and thug to invite retaliation of impregnating a menopause woman? Emefiele should address his concerns to our nation's first employee in Aso Rock. |

There is no point Mr. Governor. The Senators already this Thais. What they don't know is if you will continue in office ad a non-housa man. Buhari can bring his son to take over CBN if that will not surprise you. Leave senators to weather their own storm. Even Buhari is tired or the economy downturn. If you are in dout go and ask him. |

Abagworo:First I must make it clear that i was part of those who voted Buhari. ..part of why I described Buhari as vision less was the ease with which he allowed the fragile peace in the Niger delta at a time when our economy needed to maximise ever petrol dollars we could lay our hands on ..A leader with vision wouldn't have stirred the hornets nest at a time like that . ..now due to his vision less fiat methods we are loosing production in millions of barrels daily at a time when oil price are even low. I warned against any drastic move against corrupt ex militants till at least the economy had been buffered and other sources of income created but Buhari was urged on by blind hawks |

idupaul:Without the militants, we are still in problem, global oil prices is down, from Russian to Saudi, Venezuela and all the Gulf are feeling the effects. I bid for forex at CBN, importing petroleum killed our economy something we can produce locally if our leaders are sincere all this year's instead of legalizing corruption they called importation of petroleum.
