Please guys I need your advice,I'm currently outside the country and I've been using my stanbic debit card for withdrawals and pos purchases,I recently signed an indemnity form with stanbic,to allow them to honour any instruction I give concerning my account(transfers and all that),I do not receive email alerts but I check my balance (in naira) at atms regularly esp before and after I make any withdrawal or pos purchase...my account balance was about 22,000+ when I made a purchase of not more than 4 dollars which at most I expected nothing more than 1500 naira to be deducted from my account but instead I checked my account balance and it was 17000+..this happened on Tuesday,I decided to ignore cause I was still not sure what happened,same day in the evening I made a purchase on pos of about 3 dollars,I checked my account balance on Wednesday morning and it was 16000+,now I didn't make any purchases or withdrawals since then,but this morning I just decided to check my balance at the atm and it was short by 2000 naira!

Please I need your opinions on this matter,what can i do about this?

Send them a mail to request for explanations. If you don't have email transaction alert enabled on your account request for it to be activated. Login into account via Internet banking for details of the deduction from your account, if it's not activated yet too I suggest you request for it ASAP.

My prayer actually is that they should not release mine o...so we can settle out of court. . GTB escaped my trap then when they reversed and refunded my negative balance, stanbic also narrowly escaped when they refunded some of the criminally deducted stamp duty on my account.

So make dem no refund abeg. Make we all take them to court.

Meanwhile aside from mailing or calling them or visiting the bank, what have you done to get them to comply?

Nothing aside mailing and twitter interaction with customer care. The twitter cc has been apologising and telling me they will revert until this morning when I received a long letter telling me the story of my June dcc transaction

Well according to CBN rules, we need to wait 2weeks before contacting CBN and give CBN say another 2weeks to mediate in the matter...na the stumbling block me dat.

Gtbank has started stealing by trick. Imagine I bought an item on aliexpress 3 weeks ago when dollar was 330 naira. The shipper did not ship my item and sent me a fake tracking number. When tracking number wasn't active for 2 weeks I raised a dispute and the seller did not respond within the time. Aliexpress judged in my favour and returned my money today... The alert I got from gtb was dispense error aliexpress reversal... They credited me based on 330/USD instead of the current exchange rate.... 2 months ago I bought items online, the day I made the purchase, I was charged 325, 2 days later when the transaction cleared, dollar was 330. These useless gtb deducted extra 6k from my account to make up for the added 5 naira price on the dollar.
