I became atheist in my secondary school when I told my best friend at the time that I don't believe in god

He asked me if I wanted to become a Muslim but I said no, that I don't want to belong to any; now I never even knew people like me existed until higher institution when a professor actually mentioned something in that line at a forum, I got home, took the dictionary and realised I wasn't alone in this, up till that moment I thought I was the only one in the world who lacked belief in any god
