In fact, I see Lagos state posting larger yearly budget than Nigeria as a country... It's just a matter of time.. 1 Like |

If only there was resource control, most ND states would have been rocking Dubai by now. |

Very ambitious plan by the governor. Ambode is really in a world of his own, no rival, no competition. He is just thinking ahead of all others. Lagos state government should also consider and adopt the TSA revenue collecting system, it will seriously help them in blocking revenue leakages and increasing the state's overall revenue generation. 1 Like |

This is a great example where some sensible and visionary Leaders lay down strong foundation for future leaders to build and thrive on.. This is one thing I love about Lagos state, there's no shortage of credible, competent, visionary and productive leaders.. 1 Like |

kayfra:Why do your kind always feel threatened when the issue of resource control is raised? Imagine the IGR if we were only paying taxes to fed govt so we can retain our resources. Our IGR would shoot through the roof if given the chance. 1 Like |

TippyTop: Resource control doesn't determine progress and development especially in the absence of good, credible, competent and visionary leaders. Of what relevance is resource control when there is still zero development with huge allocations, derivations, NDDC and all the other benefits that the rest of the country doesn't get? What kind of leaders do they have in the Delta? Ibori Alams Odili Uduaghan Goodluck Jonathan Akpabio One is still in jail for looting the state dry One was an ex convict, international fugitive and also looted his state dry Uduaghan left behind the largest state debt in the history of Nigeria @ N700 billion Odili's case is still pending with the EFCC Goodluck Jonathan didn't build ordinary dog cage when he was the governor in Bayelsa Akpabio did not build more than 4 major projects apart from few roads and 1 flyover. Sadly with all the huge funds that flowed into that region, they all have less than 5 million people in each state, but still nothing to show for all that money so this is not about resources control, it's about bad and corrupt leaders.. 7 Likes |

TippyTop: I am sure you won't recognize a real threat when one stares you in the face. Someone is relaying your tendencies to you and somehow you think the person feels threatened. Can you show me something, anything, you guys have not managed to run aground? Only Edo (technically not Niger Delta) and the folks I mentioned in my earlier post seem to have managed a civilization. Majority of the folks there just want easy money, get drunk and repeat. Zero sense of self preservation. All they do is blow sh.it up. 4 Likes |

Nigeria as a country have no excuse of generating less than 60 billion dollars from tax alone, based on the value of our GDP ... But that's not the case because we thought oil was better |

Their leaders pay them to blow up pipelines, destroy their land just to secure pipeline repair contract to repair the same pipeline they destroyed and hire the same dumb and clueless youths to blow it up again for repair contracts..
