So how would they differentiate a Moslem Nigerian from a Xtian Nigerian? In a country where a lot of us go by our native names?

Moreover there is little or no documentation from birth so someone born a Moslem with the intention to harm the US can easily get a Passport in a xtian name

If they suspect that you're lying, of course they have your address, phone number of parents or guardians and their addresses and also phone numbers and addresses of your friends. If necessary, they would verify from all those people and if found guilty of forgery, neither you nor parents or anyone from your lineage would be granted American visa ever again.
