Obj came in 1999 and cancel the Kano - Lagos & PH - Borno railway rehabiliation contracts awarded by Abacha and reawarded the Lagos-Kano contract at higher figures at the twilight of his administration in 2007 (while ignoring PH - Borno railway) and nothing was done on it just like the many times this same OBJ awarded and reawarded 2nd Niger Bridge.

Meanwhile, kudos to GMB for completing this project - this is what governance is all about.

Yar'adua didn't really do much as president if we all are sincere.

Obasanjo had nothing to do with it!, people confuse the Abuja light rail project(intra city)whose ground breaking was performed by Obasanjo with the Abuja-Kaduna rail project .

It is imperative to note that apart of the grass clearing (tagged official ground breaking in 2007) for the intracity project Obasanjo never did anything to actualise the dream. the intracity project was originally linked to the Abuja's bid to host the Commonwealth Games in 2014 which never happened!
