What I find interesting is that in a couple of years this may be like a station at oshodi of then.

The trains won't be maintained as if they are expected to maintain themselves.

We need maintenance culture to be revived in Nigeria. Only then would we look back with pride.

Anyway when you see the attitude and anger of Nigerians due to lack of opportunities then you won't expect that.

Thank God it a not lagos igbo smoking hoodlums would form an enclave there in 3 months time.

I trust the train drivers,dem go dey over speed,by now train stations underground suppose Don dey across the whole federation, make we forget about God is good,edegbe,pmt of death,if e fit work,den na gradually paradise tins.
But as we all know, good tins esp new tins dey quick cast,Aft years d railway and trains for Don cast.

The interior of the newly commission train services is lovely and the station itself is built with a world class standard. I love this. I must appreciate the Goodluck Jonathan Administration for starting it and also appreciate the current government for completing. They have all tried.

The speed of the Train is about 150 km per hour and can carry 330 persons at a time. But try Nigerians and see, after 3 months you will find out that the train is carrying over 600 persons because some people may prefer to stand

From OBJ who birthed the idea to Yar'Adua who renegotiated and funded part of the project. From GEJ who also paid part of the counterpart funding (he could have actually completed the project in 2014 if he paid all) to PMB who crossed all the T's and put dots on all the I's.

i stand to be corrected though.but I don't think Nigerians can run down the coaches as fast as you think.see the project (according to an article I read sometime ago) empowers the Chinese to run the train services for 25 years,before it reverts back to the FG.

I was on that train before the commission,precisely some few days to the sallah break.I was at the station even before the tickets attendants came to start the daily free ticket issuing.This Chinese are very prompt.you board by 7:30 and by 8.00 it starts moving regardless of who didn't show up.by 8:15 we were in kubwa,spent 5 min to pick and drop,then left for Asham,then Jere,Gidan busa,dutse,kakau and then rigasa in kaduna state.every substation stopped was just for 5 min and no more.

by 11.10 we were in rigasa,and I learnt it will just spend 20 minutes and head back to abuja.

Inside the coach is good.the attendants had to make sure the toilets were well used,and always kept close eyes on passengers and their behaviors.

i think if the Chinese will hold the system this long,under their auspice,the Nigerians will have be indoctrinated on how its being operated as well as time consciousness for a while at least.
