Good day all, Kindly help me if u knw the way out. Please I am new here I guess I hv made a serious blunder. I need your advice as you know these processes and calculations can be confusing. Last year, I was trying to apply for express entry to canada using an agent(canreach) in canada. I have then paid $1500. I gave them all my details including my ielts and transcript believing that they have started processing only for them to inform me last week that they are waiting for my eca report from WES which I got furious about because they never told me that I will be the one to apply to wes after I have sent my scanned transcript to them and also demanding additional $500 because of nova Scotia skilled worker. My question is, 1. Is it something I can do my self? 2. Can anyone help me correctly calculate my possible total point for Federal Skilled Worker program and if I have a chance of being selected? 3. What is the overall and minimum benchmark for Federal Skill Worker Program 4. If am to go ahead with wes, how can I get a credit card to pay in Canadian dollars Personal details: Age: 32 Marital status: Single Education: Bsc Computer Science Ielts score: Listening - 6.0; Reading - 6.0; Writing - 7.0; Speaking - 7.0 Work experience: 6 I don't have an arranged job and no relative there Thank you |

Answers to your questions: 1) Yes you can do it yourself. 2) Using CRS calculator and based on the details you provided, you will have a CRS score of 348 which is low. You will need PNP to stand a chance. you can confirm using this tool http://www.cic.gc.ca/ctc-vac/ee-start.asp 3). First you need to be eligible to enter the pool. Fortunately, you will be eligible after you might have done your ECA. Then, in order to get Invitation to Apply (ITA), you need to score as high CRS as possible. Minimum cut off so far is 450. So aim for 450 and above. 4). You can use your debit card. Simplemeeeee: |

Fusion23: You can apply right away. If there is any doubt, they will ask for another POF at the appropriate time. Although it may raise a suspicion, so be ready to answer any query from them. Just get your bank statement and that should be good. |

Please Gurus in the house, As the principal applicant, am I the only one that can apply for a PNP? Can my wife also apply if she has the skills that a particular province needs? |

dozito: If she qualifies for EE, why not? She sure can. That makes her the PA though. |

Fusion23: A gift deed along with your SOA will enable you apply anytime. Meanwhile, keep adding to that money.. N2.5m is no longer enough for a single applicant - thanks to our seemingly ever falling currency. |

@dupyshoo, thank you very much. Am really grateful. 1. Please, On the debit card, do you mean I can use my Naira debit card? Or, what type of currency debit card? 2. On the ECA report, if after the evaluation, my Bsc is same as a Bsc in Canada, will I be able to score above the minimum of 450 points? dupyshoo: |

Hello House, Please I need clarification on use of RSA as POF. 1. Is it really accepted? 2. Can I combine my spouse's RSA with mine as POF? Thanks. |

Phew! Finally got to the end after 4 days of reading every single comment here. Bigfido my Bros, I see you. Well done to every contributor here. You all have made this journey quite easy for me. I never thought I could do it myself. Thank you for the amazing wealth of knowledge you have shared here. I have commenced my Credientials Evaluation through IQAS. Hoping my school sends out my transcript before the end of next week. Been on it since the 4th of July. I have also applied for both IELTS and TEF and would be writing the exams September and October respectively. I'm fluent in French language. I pray to excel in both exam as my husband isn't interested in moving due to his job but wants the children and i to relocate. He prefers Canada. Now, my question is: Can I get the required score alone? Considering that I'm in my mid 30s already. I have 2 Masters degrees. What are my chances? Thanks in advance for responding to these concerns of mine. abusaibu: When you open the link, you need to create an account on Mon Projet Quebec. That's the only way you can access the forms for Quebec immigration. They are all in French. I hope you understand French? That can be very challenging for those who don't. All the best! |

1. I should think so. 2. Nope, your score will be about 348. You will need PNP or MSc+better IELTS score to increase your score above 450. Simplemeeeee: |

gonon: Lucky you, I had 7.5, 8.5, 7.5 and 7. Wish I could steal the .5 in reading to listening. Lost a lot of points because of that now. I suggest you think about ICAS though, I think they are faster, have been on WES since May, they too delay. Anybody know of other means of migrating. I don't think EE will favour me with this high draws. Provincial nomination is quite cumbersome and long, any ideas which ones might open again this year? |

hartson: Well said. Your friend was fortunate; the letter was done for him "codedly". I called my PFA this morning and asked if they could write such letter on my behalf. The agent paused to confirm and gave me feedback that they don't write such letters. However, she told me that I can have access to 25% of pension contributions 4 months after leaving my job even if I have relocated abroad. My take: Apparently, RSA may not be used as the primary POF but probably as a support since CIC would require funds that are unencumbered. Anyone who intends to use it as additional POF MAY get: RSA statement of account; copy of the Pension Reform Act and asterisked clearly where it was stated that an individual has access to it 4 months after leaving current job and get it notarized supporting it with a brief explanation of how he can have access to the fund once PR is attained. Just my opinion! irondome, zandora, dupyshoo, JesusDWay, iphie25, beyunce, Etfash what do you say? 3 Likes 5 Shares |

vcole:I am just tired of the whole thing. I only got the purchase receipt mail. It's as though they do not even have my information on their database but they have deducted their fee. I have called them twice now and will call again today. I guess today I'd insist on speaking to their supervisor to get this issue sorted once and for all. I used my sisters access bank ATM to make the payment. They deducted about 71k for it. 1 Like |
