So after graduating from the university about a year ago i have'nt got a job. I know most of you will say (just one year and you are complaining.) Well it does'nt matter.

All that matters is that one is without a job and it is extremely annoying and life is boring.
You see adverts everywhere of job openings and you wonder if there are just for show or if people are really getting these jobs.
Once or twice you see a testimony on nairaland that someone just got a job and you begin to pray for your own.
You wait and wait for a miracle because now your degree does not matter again. If you don't have somebody somewhere, 'na only miracle you go hope on.

After going through school, burning mid night candles, going for lectures, doing stupid assignments that lecturers never read and struggling to see that your name is on flimsy attendance cheat for ten marks, what do you get?
Answer - A long stay in your fathers house, waiting for when somebody will visit and dash you money. Because your parents do not have your time again.
Most times, you might even here comments like" abeg do go marry" or better still "you no get boyfriend?".
Sometimes you begin to wonder what went wrong but in the end, what can one do but hope for a miracle.

Life is hard o. Especially if you are unemployed and a girl in naija.

You really do not want to know what unemployed young men go through daily. Believe me, you don't want to. Family pressure, peer pressure, fiancee/girlfriend pressure, self-imposed pressure and many more....I no fit count.

Well it is quite painful just that one need to be patient..Some people don't want to start with low income because they have the fear of when am l going to making it.. Although that was the mistake l made..l secured 35k job one week after my NYSC in April this year but l turned down the job offer owing to pride and also l felt that the experience won't have positive effect on my career.. l'm regretting now because my little savings from Alawee has finished.. l've learnt alot within this three months of staying at home...l can't wait to find a job

hmmmm...You can do the following rather than stay home idle:
1.Home lesson: even if its primary school!
2.Learn a trade e.g. sowing, hear dressing and fixing, beads and bag making( lemme tell you, ladies and fashion are 5&6, so market go always dey if you know your onions)
3. Carry placards(you may never know)
..my point is there are lot of things you can do rather than staying home idle doing nothing! before we begin to see, stories like " Joblessness drove me into prostitution, Buhari to blame"

One can also work in his or her religious body. Being an usher, you'll have someone to vouch for your work ethic

I understand the feeling baba, you rejected only because the pay was small or did it include the job not fitting the field you are trying to make a career in?

What's ur discipline.....?
Please take it easy, I know the situation is appalling.
Try and visit, some people whom u know are welcoming.

People that can receive U whole-heartedly without blemish.

Also consider Marriage especially with someone in whom u can find happiness.
Marriage is also a form of employment.

Chai! Good u've learnt though, as long as it's in your field or the field you are aiming for, ignore the size of the salary. The experience is more important.

My dear, I mustn't lie to you, I am in the same shoes with you, what I am going through, I can't not tell it all but I just put my trust in God, I know HE will pick our calls soon,
The most annoying part is people telling you to go out of ur comfort zone to husle, how, to where, what will you be doing there, where will you stay, nobody is ready to help with these present economy Nigeria is in right now, though I do go out every day because my job is to get a job but it ain't easy, I just pray to God to set things right for us, at least at home, you have where you stay, you eat at least once a day like i do, sometimes I don't, nobody to insult and tells you stories that touches the heart. Though small ones do come but I think is better compare to an outsider.
