Well said. Your friend was fortunate; the letter was done for him "codedly". cheesy

I called my PFA this morning and asked if they could write such letter on my behalf. The agent paused to confirm and gave me feedback that they don't write such letters.

However, she told me that I can have access to 25% of pension contributions 4 months after leaving my job even if I have relocated abroad.

My take: Apparently, RSA may not be used as the primary POF but probably as a support since CIC would require funds that are unencumbered.

Anyone who intends to use it as additional POF MAY get: RSA statement of account; copy of the Pension Reform Act and asterisked clearly where it was stated that an individual has access to it 4 months after leaving current job and get it notarized supporting it with a brief explanation of how he can have access to the fund once PR is attained. Just my opinion!

irondome, zandora, dupyshoo, JesusDWay, iphie25, beyunce, Etfash what do you say? wink

You have done well. Exactly what I did when I did mine in 2014 less the notarization..
Please note that I did not use RSA as a the only POF but used with others like bank statement and Shares

Good luck!

greetings:

Lucky you, I had 7.5, 8.5, 7.5 and 7. Wish I could steal the .5 in reading to listening. Lost a lot of points because of that now. I suggest you think about ICAS though, I think they are faster, have been on WES since May, they too delay.

Anybody know of other means of migrating. I don't think EE will favour me with this high draws. Provincial nomination is quite cumbersome and long, any ideas which ones might open again this year?

Have you considered Australia and New Zealand? While not giving up on your Canadian dream, you can take a look at the immigration programmes of these countries as "back-up" plans.

Good day all. Please can an express entry profile jeopardize chances of getting a visit visa? Hope they won't think one wants to escape if one gets the visit visa. Your ideas and suggestions will be appreciated.

You just re-iterated my initial opinion. Any PFA that issue a financial statement to imply that their clients can immediately access all their funds is questionable; no ethical PFA would do that. Typically, the rule guiding PFA only allows access to 25%, which the applicant isn't eligible for until after 4 months of joblessness.

However, if anyone knows someone "personally" who had a successful application with "new express entry system" using the PFA statement as POF, then the person may try his/her luck.

No

Creating a profile ain't same as submitting a visa application. Even if you have submitted an application, that should also not be a problem as long as your visit visa application is not goofy

Not truthful. You should also be clear on your visit intention, with very little room for doubt.

Assessing dual intent: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/temp/visa/dual.asp

Having two intents – one for temporary residence and one for permanent residence – is legitimate. This section addresses how to apply subsection A22(2) of the IRPA to the decision-making process, and to clarify that the issue of dual intent affects all categories of immigration applications.

A22(2) states “An intention by a foreign national to become a permanent resident does not preclude them from becoming a temporary resident if the officer is satisfied that they will leave Canada by the end of the period authorized for their stay.” Dual intent is present when a foreign national who has applied for permanent residence in Canada also applies to enter Canada for a temporary period as a visitor, worker or student. Dual intent on the part of the applicant is therefore not prima facie grounds for refusal of temporary resident status.
Assessing dual intent

A person’s desire to apply for permanent resident status in Canada may be legitimate. An officer should distinguish between an applicant whose intentions are bona fide and an applicant who has no intention of leaving Canada at the end of their authorized stay if the application for permanent residence is refused.
In assessing bona fide, the individual circumstances of the temporary resident applicant must be examined; refusals of non-bona fide temporary residents may only withstand legal challenge when the refusal is based on the information related to the specific case before an officer.

In assessing an application for temporary residence an officer may also consider factors such as:

the length of time that the client will be spending in Canada;
the means of support;
obligations and ties in the home country; and
compliance with requirements of the IRPA and Regulations applicable to temporary residents (visitors, students and workers).

If an officer has concerns/doubts about the applicant’s bona fide, the applicant must be made aware of these concerns and given an opportunity to respond to them. If an application for temporary residence is not approved, the CIC visa officer will provide the client with a letter explaining why an application has been refused.

Temporary residence status might be refused for several reasons, including:

history of having contravened the conditions of admission on a previous stay in Canada;
lack of or insufficient proof of adequate funds to support oneself while in Canada, and to affect one’s departure from Canada;
medical inadmissibility;
not satisfying the visa officer that the individual will leave Canada at the end of their period of authorized stay.
Phew! Finally got to the end after 4 days of reading every single comment here. Bigfido my Bros, I see you. Well done to every contributor here. You all have made this journey quite easy for me. I never thought I could do it myself. Thank you for the amazing wealth of knowledge you have shared here.

I have commenced my Credientials Evaluation through IQAS. Hoping my school sends out my transcript before the end of next week. Been on it since the 4th of July.

I have also applied for both IELTS and TEF and would be writing the exams September and October respectively. I'm fluent in French language. I pray to excel in both exam as my husband isn't interested in moving due to his job but wants the children and i to relocate. He prefers Canada.

Now, my question is: Can I get the required score alone? Considering that I'm in my mid 30s already. I have 2 Masters degrees. What are my chances? Thanks in advance for responding to these concerns of mine.

1. Yes you can get the required score alone. Click married but do also state that your spouse not coming with you to Canada

2. Yoy begin to drop points after your 30th birthday. 5 points yearly (I stand to be corrected)

3. You can only get maximum score for one masters. You can only score higher if you have a Phd.

On getting confirmation of permanent residence (COPR), you are issued a visa that expires exactly 1year after your medical examination date. You must land before this date.

You can make acquaintance, there are fori or you can use Airbnb which is what I used when I did my landing.

As per professional exams, I don't know much....again join one of the numerous fori and Whatsapp group....

Good morning pals. I have a question that has been bugging my kind and need your kind assistance to clarify. On simulating my CRS score using the CRS calculator tool on CIC website, I discovered I would get only 430 points which is below the 450benchmark for EE without PNP. I have only a B.Sc and 5years work experience in manufacturing management. I have a diploma in Brewing certificate from the institute of Brewing and Distilling (IBD) UK. If this diploma can be evaluated I can fill in 2 or more certificates in the CRS Calculator and my score will leap to 462. I am moving with my spouse and 1 kid and POF is already sorted out.

My question is can my IBD diploma be evaluated and which of the ECA bodies do you think will do this right.

Good day all,

Kindly help me if u knw the way out. Please I am new here

I guess I hv made a serious blunder. I need your advice as you know these processes and calculations can be confusing. Last year, I was trying to apply for express entry to canada using an agent(canreach) in canada. I have then paid $1500. I gave them all my details including my ielts and transcript believing that they have started processing only for them to inform me last week that they are waiting for my eca report from WES which I got furious about because they never told me that I will be the one to apply to wes after I have sent my scanned transcript to them and also demanding additional $500 because of nova Scotia skilled worker.

My question is,

1. Is it something I can do my self?

2. Can anyone help me correctly calculate my possible total point for Federal Skilled Worker program and if I have a chance of being selected?

3. What is the overall and minimum benchmark for Federal Skill Worker Program

4. If am to go ahead with wes, how can I get a credit card to pay in Canadian dollars

Personal details:
Age: 32
Marital status: Single
Education: Bsc Computer Science
Ielts score: Listening - 6.0; Reading - 6.0; Writing - 7.0; Speaking - 7.0
Work experience: 6
I don't have an arranged job and no relative there

Thank you

Didn't they state that you will be responsible to provide all supporting documents e.g IELTS,ECA e.t.c in the contract document you signed with them.I intend to give you a pointer about something hence I sent a PM notication but you haven't responded.

Honestly he was indeed very lucky.Actually it wasn't on this EE regime he got his PR.It was the FSWP before EE launch
I don't speculate what I don't know about.Your assertion about access to 25% of the money 4 months after leaving job is quite correct and RCIC know that very well, but then don't underestimate the power of an immigration attorney remember I said my friend engaged the service of an attorney who I guess might have backed up my friends SOA,RSA claims with legal papers just my guess tho. undecided

When the authorities want to verify your claims they don't go writing or calling the entire PFA or employer for instance they contact the HOD whose contact details you gave them on the reference letter for verification purpose.such scenario could have played out in my friend's case
maybe the PPC director who prepared the letter for him was contacted and he simply affirm it

What works for one person may not work for another person just like you highlighted that your were refused by your pension custodian.

it worked for Anbako maybe his confirmation will make those in doubt believe.

Evidence of RSA/Pension fund alone can never and will never be a primary and satisfactory way of showing POF.

Thank you

What's the duration of your diploma? Not sure how accurate WES online equivalence tool is? You may want to try that out. Ultimately, the only way to be certain is to get the degrees evaluated. If both degrees were obtained in the UK, you may go with WES

Hello House,

I am new to this stuff and recently only just began the processing.

I will like to find out if I can send copies of my transcripts to WES myself as I have the copies made when I request it for a different purpose sometimes back. I also would want to go through the stress of running after my previous schools for the transcripts.

Thank you in advance for your help.

You can apply right away. If there is any doubt, they will ask for another POF at the appropriate time.
Although it may raise a suspicion, so be ready to answer any query from them.
Just get your bank statement and that should be good.

I have seen people denied visa because of POF, even without receiving any fairness letter. In fact, a dude was denied after 4 months of processing for a quite similar reason (POF with money sourced from his dad). And this dude was not lucky enough to get a fairness letter because the VO was convinced beyond doubt that his POF was inadequate.

I would not advice him to apply right away without a gift deed from his mum. Otherwise, he would have to leave the funds in his account for 6 months.

woow 488 is the new crs cut off ..am on 475 since over a month ..i hope it drops soon , anyways am patient.

please i need clarity on the proof of funds ..i was given 2.5m by my mum 2 months ago ..it has been in my account since then and it can be there for even the next two year..so my question is should i wait 6 months before applying or i can apply with that ..its a savings account.

If you get an ITA now, try and get your mum prepare a gift deed for you -- stating that the money was completely a gift with no obligation to refund it. Otherwise, it's wise to allow the money rest in your account for a minimum of 6 months.

If your POF is found to be inadequate (does not meet the specification in the requirement documentation), your application may be rejected without any fairness letter.

Can you provide an IRCC link for this (RSA as type of documents that can be used as POF)
